On the evening of 5 August, a suspected case of monkeypox was received at a private hospital on Koh Chang in Trat Province, Thailand, a German male tourist aged between 35 and 40 years old. The visitor is still undergoing a comprehensive examination and awaiting the results, and it is not yet known whether he has been diagnosed with monkeypox virus.
It is reported that the tourist entered Thailand in July and traveled to Koh Chang, having previously gone to the local hospital for urinary system examination and treatment, when the tourist's sexual organs had begun to appear rash, and the tourist left the hospital after the examination. Soon after, the tourist went to the above hospital again, because his palm also began to appear rash, the relevant departments are currently verifying, and if there is a confirmed news in the follow-up, an announcement will be issued.
