Zhejiang Lishui Jingning Research Institute successfully concluded the examination, 30 students, a total of 4 groups, a total of more than 80 species of insects were observed and collected, and more than 180 individuals were sorted out and made insect specimens, which can be described as a full harvest. After sorting, classification and identification, 1 individual red-edged Tianniu was collected.

The red-edged celestial calf belongs to the coleoptera family of insects, mainly distributed in Beijing, northeast China, Hebei, Shanxi, Henan, Zhejiang and other places. Hosts include elm plum, crown fruit, plum blossom, jasmine, goji berries, grapes, dates, golden pheasants, apples, pears, locusts, elms and ailanthus trees.

Larvae moths are harmful, the growth of the light plant is weak, some branches die, the heavy trunk ring is peeled, the canopy dies, causing the wind to dry, especially the small young trees, which are easy to die after being damaged. Flowers and trees with weak growth are the most affected. Adults are 11 to 19.5 mm long and 3.5 to 6 mm wide, with a long, black, elongated, grayish-white hair. The base of the elytra has 1 scarlet oval spot each, and the outer edge has a narrow scarlet stripe, which is often connected to the base oval spot at the shoulder. The head is short, densely carved and coarse, covered with thick dark hairs, and the antennae are slender and filamentous 11 segments longer than the body. The forebreast is slightly wider than long, and the lateral spikes are short and blunt. Small shield equilateral triangle. The elytra are narrow and flattened, with parallel margins on both sides, blunt and rounded ends, and the wing surface is covered with short black hairs, with long gray-white hairs on the erythema, and slender feet.
