My work explores the inner wilderness in an external way. I believe that the natural world is not only an intrinsic part of us humans (and we are part of it), but it is also a primitive, delicate and sensitive mirror in which we find our own inner topography and wild reflections. My work has always been an act of reverence for the natural world. It has an element of science, in the desire to study and observe. But there is also a spiritual element that is constantly reaching out for something beyond the visible.

While there are always faithful naturalists in my heart, these images tend to come from the inside as well as from the outside, and the emotional texture obtained through observation is equally important. I'm interested in moments of experience that elemental experience in this way, in a dreamlike way.

Sometimes, the forces of our world seem to be consistent, and the concentric movement of insects, the unique geometry of the land, or the glow of green things slowly fading at dusk, gives something previously familiar a sense of otherworld. These times, the veil feels thin, when an omnipresent but unnoticed magic moves beneath the surface of the ordinary person.

We've fine-tuned these existential trends. In my work, my aim is to develop an acceptance of them, combining our desire for understanding with an equally honest imaginative experience.
