Located on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains, the lake surface is 2071 meters above sea level, which belongs to the alpine lake and has always been quiet and deep. Later, the national highway to Yining was built on the lake, and later China's longest highway, the G30 Lianhuo Expressway, was built on the southern shore of the lake. Further west across the lake is the famous Guozigou Bridge across the Sky Mountain Gorge.
