Opened in March 2016, the Food Showcasée des Desir Portuguese-speaking Countries in Macau's TapOch Square covers an area of approximately 4,200 sq ft and showcases a wide range of drinks and foodstuffs from eight Portuguese-speaking countries, including Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe and Timor-Leste, such as natural foods, snack foods, canned foods, agricultural products, coffee and alcoholic beverages.
Each product exhibited in the center has a separate introduction board, the card has an exclusive two-dimensional code, merchants can read the two-dimensional code to connect to the "China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Economic and Trade Cooperation and Talent Information Network" to obtain detailed product descriptions, supplier background information and contact information, and then conduct business negotiations with suppliers, and some products can be purchased online and picked up at the Chinese mainland.
By the end of 2021, a total of 34,349 food products from Portuguese-speaking countries will be published on the website.
In addition, from time to time, the exhibition center invites local Portuguese-speaking food agents to hold promotional activities, as well as provide venues for chambers of commerce and enterprises to carry out product launches, promotion meetings, etc., so as to promote portuguese-speaking countries' food and create business negotiation opportunities.
