On June 7, local time, the British Railway, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) said that thousands of rail workers plan to hold a three-day nationwide strike later this month to resolve disputes with management over layoffs and wages and benefits. British paleontologists have found parts of dinosaur bones from the Cretaceous period about 125 million years ago, including fossilized bones on the back, buttocks and tail, as well as some limb fragments, but no skulls or teeth. Based on the remains, paleontologists estimate that the dinosaur was at least more than 10 meters long.
Chris Barker, a phD student at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom who led the study, said the skeletal remains found should belong to a two-legged predatory spinosaurus dinosaur. They lived about 95 million years ago and are about 15 meters long, making them believed to be the longest known terrestrial dinosaurs.
