Now, Liu Liu's new drama "Back Wave" integrates the twenty-four solar terms into the plot, focusing on the wisdom and romance in the bones of Chinese. The new drama will tell the story of young people inheriting the culture of Chinese medicine in the spring of grass and trees, heaven and earth and Chinese rhymes.
The reality TV series "Houlang" is produced by Shanghai Yaoke Media Co., Ltd., the script is polished by screenwriter Liu Liu after seven years, directed by Han Xiaojun, and starring Wu Gang, Zhao Lusi, Luo Yizhou, Zhang Meng, Jiang Shan, Zhou Cheng'ao, Zhu Junlin, Dai Luwa, Li Baihui and so on. In the story, Ren Xinzheng (Wu Gang), a professor at the University of Chinese Medicine, is committed to the widespread transmission of Chinese medicine, he resigned to establish a Chinese medicine inheritance class, and eventually became a new and old force that continued to rush forward on the road of inheriting traditional culture with his apprentices.
Screenwriter Liu Liu obtained a master's degree in traditional Chinese medicine before writing the script of "Houlang", and the main characters and experiences in the play are also based on her real record of people and events. She focuses on the inheritance story of Chinese medicine, telling the growth and transformation of young and middle-aged medical children, as well as the cultural inheritance story to be passed on. The title of the play is "Houlang", which means that the young generation in China is stronger than the next.
If the inheritance of Chinese medicine and the renewal of traditional culture are the core of the story, then the twenty-four solar terms and traditional festivals are the invisible timeline in the play. As an important part of TCM culture, the twenty-four solar terms will also appear in all dimensions of "After the Wave". Taking the various solar term posters as an example, in addition to the health knowledge of popular Science Chinese medicine, there are also solar term characteristics integrated into it, so that the audience can harvest bits and pieces in addition to reading.
"After the Wave" also released a May Fourth special a few days ago. At the beginning of the special edition, the "front wave" represented by Wu Gang after the 60s took the initiative to move towards the "back wave" in the change of the times, stirring up the voice of the post-90s and post-00s youth represented by Zhao Lusi and Luo Yizhou - inheriting the essence of the country is the mission of every young person.
In the play, the lineup of young actors such as Wu Gang, Zhao Lusi, Luo Yizhou, Jiang Shan and other old drama bones are also strongly in line with the tone of the series.
