The most famous "Stock Tetris" game is probably Resident Evil 4, but many other games also have grid-style backpack management systems, from DayZ to Tarkov. Save Room, on the other hand, starts with simple puzzles that allow players to focus on the backpack management mini-game: putting shotguns, pistols, and a few boxes of ammunition into a grid.
But as the puzzles become more complex, the grid changes shape as it progresses. What a familiar feeling, who wouldn't want to stuff as much stuff into a backpack in a survival game? As with Tetris, players can rotate various guns and other things to make it easier to combine some of them for optimal collation.
In addition, the game has some interesting little details, when there are several boxes of ammunition, sometimes they can be combined to put all the bullets into one box. And don't forget to load as much ammunition as possible into the gun itself.
Save Room adds puzzles to its puzzles, and as in Resident Evil, it can be crafted with different powder bottles to craft specific ammo types, or combined with herbs to craft healing items. Some levels require consumables to be used in the correct order in order to free up limited backpack space to put more stuff in.
