Fanbyte editor Imran Khan said Capcom did not intend to make Resident Evil 4 a "strict scene-by-scene remake" and that several scenes in the game had changed significantly from the original. Part of the game takes place at night and may contain scenes of Leon battling hordes of infected people in a village.
While Resident Evil 4 is known for being more action-oriented than terrifying, Fanbyte sources say Resident Evil 4: Remake will be even more terrifying. Three early versions of Resident Evil 4 provided inspiration for the remake, which were more supernatural and terrifying than the official version.
The report also pointed out that Resident Evil 4: Remake will allow the supporting characters to play a greater role and have more appearances, and the "Operation: Ada" and "Separate Ways" side quests about King Ida will be merged and expanded to better fit the main story.
Fanbyte also said that earlier leaked information showed that Wesker was redesigned, and some speculated that he would appear in a new look in Resident Evil 4: Remake, but this is inaccurate, and that Wesker was actually redesigned for a Resident Evil project that "seems to have been canceled".
Capcom did not officially announce Resident Evil 4: a remake, and Fanbyte claims the official hopes to announce the project in early 2022.
