Because many netizens have previously expressed doubts about the fuel consumption of this car? Therefore, we conducted a fuel consumption test in the urban area, using the method of refueling and jumping guns, combined with the driving computer data. We conducted a 52.4-kilometer test on the urban road in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, the whole time the air conditioner was turned on, two adult men in the car, the tire pressure was 255KPa, the mode was ordinary, the gentle driving mode was adopted, and the throttle did not exceed 1/3 depth. After about 3 kilometers of congestion, there are about 25-30 traffic lights, and finally add fuel 4.13L, the fuel consumption converted down is 7.88L/100km, and the apparent fuel consumption is 7.8L, which is relatively close, indicating that the calculation of the driving computer is accurate enough. In the test, we found that the fuel consumption in the congested road rose rapidly, from about 7L to about 9L, indicating that it was more afraid of congestion. Once the speed of the car starts, the fuel consumption drops very quickly. Our conclusion about its fuel consumption is that strong power and low fuel consumption can only choose one or the other, fuel consumption increases rapidly when congested, and fuel consumption at a uniform speed is not high.
In terms of handling, the steering wheel setting of this car is relatively light, even in the sport mode, it is not heavy, the steering ratio is moderate, and the accuracy of the pointing is relatively high. Suspension retains the previous characteristics of the Ford car, the bounce stroke is shorter, the shock absorber also has a certain hardness, the straight road retains a rich sense of the road, and even some fragmented vibrations, the bounce action is very fast when passing the speed reduction belt, there will be no front and back or left and right shaking, although there is a slight sense of impact, but the body posture is relatively clean. When cornering, it reflects good lateral support, the roll amplitude is smaller than that of the general intermediate car, the amplitude of the center of gravity transfer is also very small, the trail of the rear of the car is relatively high, and the grip of the tire is also very good, which will stimulate you to try to use faster speed to find its limit, and there is considerable driving control fun.
This car has a clear tendency to be sporty, and the tolerance for NVH is relatively high. The idling phase performed well, with little sound and vibration of the engine. At medium speed, the road noise is more obvious, the noise from the chassis is somewhat disturbing, and the sound of the engine when stepping on the throttle is also clear, but fortunately the sound is still relatively pure. The tire noise at high speed is more obvious, which affects the mood, but the wind noise is not large. For friends who like to be quiet, it seems necessary to replace a set of silent tires or do a sound insulation treatment at the wheel arch.
