According to the information released by Mercedes-Benz, the C43 uses the classic M139 engine, which is the so-called strongest 2.0T built by Mercedes-Benz, but this time Mercedes-Benz named this engine M139L, of which L stands for longitudinal, that is, the same 2.0T engine used in the AMG A class came to the C43 and adjusted to the longitudinal.
The AMG C43's 2.0T has a maximum power of 408 hp and a maximum torque of 500 Nm, and while we're used to the Mercedes-Benz's 2.0T 4-cylinder engine being powerful enough, it's amazing to see that. And the maximum torque of this 2.0T in the engine at a speed of 5000 revolutions per minute burst out, not to show that Mercedes-Benz's low-speed torque performance is not good, but because Mercedes-Benz is using electronic turbocharging, this system can be directly involved in the low-speed area above the idle speed, to put it bluntly, a little bit before the supercharging became motor driven, so the engine's low-speed feedback is also quite sensitive. In terms of performance, Mercedes-Benz said that the C43's useful time is 4.6 seconds, which is considered to be entering the 5-second club, and its maximum speed is 250 km / h, if the optional sports bag, the maximum speed can be unlocked to 265 km / h, in terms of unlocking the maximum speed, Mercedes-Benz is still slightly more conservative than BMW and Audi.
Through the AMG C43, it can be seen that Mercedes-Benz is indeed simplifying and simplifying its own engine series, and this 2.0T has been applied to the limit, it can be said that the power range of this 2.0T has improved the power range of the traditional inline 6-cylinder engine, so the future Mercedes-Benz 6-cylinder engine may really gradually disappear, replaced by either the M139, which can be horizontal and vertical, 2.0T, or V8.
