Although the new car has not yet been officially unveiled, the recent frequently exposed spy photos show that this car is basically close to mass production. According to the latest news, the body size of the new Amarok will be 5350*1910*1880mm, the wheelbase is 3220mm, and the conventional model adopts a double-row seat shape. And according to the news, the car will have a shorter front and rear overhang than the current model, so it has a better approach angle and departure angle.
Some of the configuration information of the new car has also been revealed, and it will be equipped with up to 30 driver assistance functions, and there will be matrix LED headlamps and Harman Kardon audio to enhance the sense of luxury. The car uses an 8-inch digital instrument panel, as well as a 10.1-inch and 12-inch two-sized central control screen. The new car will have five configuration levels, from low to high: Base, Life, Style, Panamericana and Aventura, of which the two models with high equipment, Panamericana is oriented to off-road style, and Aventura is road style, will be equipped with leather coverings. In addition to the different configurations, there will be different tire sizes, ranging from 17 to 21 inches.
The load capacity of the new car was also announced, with the new Amarok having a towing capacity of 3.5 tons and a payload of 1.2 tons. Volkswagen is also planning a new Amarok in single-row cab style, and in Europe, buyers can opt for a rear-drive or two four-wheel drive systems (timely four-wheel drive and full-time four-wheel drive). The new car is expected to be available by the end of 2022.
