On April 25, social media platform Twitter accepted Elon Musk's acquisition deal. So, will former U.S. President Donald Trump return to Twitter? He gave his answer.

According to Fox News, Trump said that even if Musk acquired the social media company and restored his account, he would not return to Twitter, but would use his own "TRUTH social" as the only platform for his voice.

On Monday afternoon, Twitter announced that it had agreed to Musk's $44 billion acquisition of the company. The former president told Fox News on Monday that he will officially join his own social media platform over the next seven days as planned.

Trump told Fox News: "I'm not going to twitter, I'm going to keep an eye on the social truth." "I hope Musk buys Twitter because he's going to improve on it, he's a good guy, but I'll stay on the social truth."

Trump told Fox News that he will start using the "Social Truth" platform next week. Trump Media Technology Group's social media platform, Truth Social, officially launched last month, has been up and running for four days under its new cloud service since beta testing began in February. Former California Republican Rep. Devon Nunes is the company's chief executive.

"We received millions of people, and we found that the response on the 'truth' was much better than on Twitter," Trump said. "Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we're doing everything we can." He added: "The bottom line is, no, I'm not going to use Twitter anymore."

After the January 6, 2021 riots in Congress, Trump was permanently banned from twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. Twitter found some of his tweets related to violent protests inflammatory and warned of the risk of further incitement to violence.

Asked if Musk-owned Tweets would be a competitor to "social truth," Trump said he thought it would be a positive development in the social media space.

"I think it's good. We want our country to be free, just and fair, and the more we open up, the better. "But no, I don't think it's a competition for what I'm doing."

"This is the platform on which I speak. The truth is my voice and platform for supporters," Trump said. "But I want everyone to accept the truth — conservatives, liberals, and so on."

The former president said Twitter had become very boring because conservatives were kicked off the platform when I left. "Because there's no interaction, it gets boring," Trump said. "The social truth interaction is great." He added: "We want everyone."

"The social truth will speak for me," Trump continued. "It's something that no one else can get." The former president would not comment on whether he had any ties to Musk.

A person familiar with the matter told Fox News that Trump and Musk have a good and friendly relationship. The source cited the example of Trump defending Musk in 2018 when the Tesla CEO was accused of committing securities fraud by misleading Tesla about potential transactions to take Tesla private on Twitter.

Musk wrote on Twitter: "I hope even the harshest critics of me can stay on Twitter, because that's what free speech means."

Meanwhile, Devin Nunes, chief executive of Trump's Media Technology Group, told Fox News on Monday that social truth has an unbreakable structure that now runs flawlessly and fast.

"President Trump started a really campaign with this company, and it took us to a point where now Elon Musk is saying, hey, it's a problem," Nunes said. "We're glad he said it was a problem."

The topic of content moderation has been closely watched by right-wing critics who argue that if tech giants censor certain views, they should no longer benefit from the protections of section 230 of the Communications Regulation Act.

This provision has played a key role in the rise of today's social media giants, allowing not only Internet service providers, but in most cases, third parties such as Google, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and others to be exempt from liability for content posted on their platforms.

The Trump Media Technology Group was first established last October. The company said last month that the partner had reached a $1 billion capital injection agreement with institutional investors.

Trump Media Technology Group's plan is to become a public company through a merger with publicly traded company Digital World Acquisition Corp. Digital World Acquisition Corp. is a special purpose acquisition company whose sole purpose is to acquire a private company and list it.
