On the morning of April 23, 2022, on the 27th "World Book Day", the 9th "China Children's Book List" held a grand award ceremony online to announce the results of the 2021 "Best Children's Book Award", "Excellent Children's Book Award" and "Best Editor Award", and released the 2021 "China Children's Book List" Top 100 Books List. 12 kinds of children's books such as "Lost Child", "The Journey of the Elephant", "Magpie's Nest" won the "Best Children's Book" award of the year, and 12 kinds of children's books such as "The Story I Tell Are Not True", "Ten Toes to Travel", "Big City, Little You" won the title of "Excellent Children's Book" of the year.
Initiated by Zhu Yongxin, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and spokesperson for the national reading image, with the participation of nearly 100 well-known scholars, writers, state-level famous teachers and reading promoters across the country, the "China Children's Book List" adheres to the tradition of public welfare, purity and authority, adheres to the purpose of "selecting the most beautiful book for the most beautiful childhood", and finally determines this year's children's book list through the four links of preliminary evaluation, specially invited expert recommendation, re-evaluation and final evaluation.
The 9th "China Children's Book List" award ceremony was presided over by Tong Xixi, a children's literature writer and founder of Storytelling. At the award ceremony of this year's "China Children's Book List", Liang Jie, senior editor and reporter of China Education Newspaper Reading Weekly, represented the judges of the judging committee, Chang Qing, president of Sichuan Children's Publishing House, the publisher of the award-winning children's book "Wind and Thunder", represented the award-winning publishing house, Xiao Fuxing, the author of the award-winning children's book "Brothers", represented the award-winning writers, and Huang Chenyu, the editor of "The Sun and Ephemera", delivered the award-winning editor's speech on behalf of the award-winning editors.
Li Xixi, executive director of the New Reading Research Institute and a children's literature writer, introduced in the "2021 "China Children's Book List" Selection Report that the 2021 "China Children's Book List" was selected as a children's book from nearly a thousand kinds of children's books submitted by hundreds of publishing houses across the country, and after four rounds of careful selection of "preliminary evaluation - re-evaluation - expert recommendation - final evaluation", picture books accounted for 33% of the books participating in this year's children's book list; popular science accounted for 24%; literary books accounted for 33%; and human books accounted for 10%. Original children's books accounted for 77%; imported children's books accounted for 23%.
