warm! Nurses present fairy dresses, and leukemia babies are discharged from the hospital to receive a special "graduation gift"

"Xiao Han has graduated!" A few days ago, in the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of Shunde Women and Children's Hospital (Shunde District Maternal and Child Health Hospital) of Guangdong Medical University, Xiao Han, who was 2 years and 9 months old, officially "graduated". After nearly a year of treatment, Xiao Han "defeated" acute lymphoblastic leukemia and ushered in the day of discharge.

Heartwarmingly, in order to bid farewell to Xiao Han's discharge, the hospital also carefully planned a "graduation ceremony". At the "ceremony", the medical care from the hematology and oncology department of the hospital presented Xiao Han with a small "crown" and a small cloak, symbolizing Xiao Han's brave "victory" over this hurdle in xiao Han's life.

A nurse at the hospital also specially prepared a pink fairy dress for Xiao Han. At the "graduation ceremony", Xiao Han put on a small pink dress, laughed heartily, and "danced" in a straight circle with joy, as if forgetting the pain of healing. At the scene, the family also hugged the nurse sister warmly and thanked the doctor for everything she did during the child's treatment.

It is reported that in May last year, Xiao Han suddenly had a high fever and was sent to the hospital for diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In the course of a year's treatment, Xiao Han, a small body, suffered hardships. It is reported that children with leukemia must endure many pains that ordinary people cannot tolerate in treatment, including chemotherapy, punctures, day after day injections and medicines, vomiting reactions, etc. During the treatment process, the department medical care took meticulous care of Xiao Han and other children, and in the company of the department hospital staff and hospital social workers, Xiao Han's condition changed and his mood gradually eased.

According to reports, childhood leukemia, commonly known as "blood cancer", is the most common malignant tumor in childhood. According to relevant data from the National Health Commission, the incidence of childhood leukemia (under 15 years old) in the mainland is about 4 to 5/100,000, of which about 95% are acute leukemia. Acute leukemia is subdivided into acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia, accounting for 75% and 20% of childhood leukemia, respectively.

According to the hospital, with the rapid development of domestic children's acute leukemia treatment technology, the cure rate of low- to moderate-critical lymphocytic leukemia patients through chemotherapy has reached more than 85%, and if hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is added, the cure rate of high-risk children can reach more than 75%. Moreover, childhood leukemia is more common in acute lymphoblastic leukemia, so the current cure rate of childhood leukemia can reach 70% to 80%, which has been considered to be a malignant tumor that can achieve the goal of cure. "If a family encounters this disease, don't give up and actively treat it."
