On April 22, according to local media outlet Tecmundo, a court in the brazilian city of Goiânia ruled that Apple violated consumer protection laws and must compensate an iPhone buyer who did not obtain a charging plug.
According to Brazil's Consumer Protection Law, devices such as smartphones must be equipped with chargers or sold separately, but they cannot be sold separately to be fully functional.
The judge insisted that the charging cable provided by the iPhone could not be used with other charging plugs, so consumers had to buy Apple's original charger, and the judge demanded that Apple compensate the user for 5,000 Brazilian reals.
