【March 2022 Mid-size SUV Sales Ranking】In the past year, more than a dozen new mid-size SUVs have been added to the domestic market, so although the domestic car market in March was affected by the epidemic and sales declined, the mid-size SUV market was still better than the same period last year. According to the statistics compiled by the editors of the car purchase network, the wholesale sales of the domestic medium-sized SUV market reached 238,700 units in March 2022, an increase of 3.6% year-on-year; compared with the previous month, the sales volume increased by 11.8% month-on-month.
In March, four mid-size SUVs sold more than 10,000 units, including three joint venture mid-size SUVs and one autonomous mid-size SUV. Tesla Model Y wholesale sales of 39,790 units, won the number one mid-size SUV sales, and sales are far ahead, its sales are more than the three medium-sized SUVs ranked second to fourth combined.
Chery Tiggo 8 ranked second, with sales of 13,816 units, higher than last month's sales, up 18.6% year-on-year. The Jetway X70 family, also from Chery, also sold more than last month, ranking ninth with sales of 7,460 vehicles, but still down 33.0% year-on-year.
Volkswagen's Tiguan L weighed on the 10,000-vehicle mark, ranking third with sales of 13,414 vehicles, down 34.1% year-on-year. Volkswagen's other Tanyue was close to the 10,000-unit mark, ranking sixth with sales of 9527 vehicles, down 41.0% year-on-year.
Mercedes-Benz GLC sold 10,857 units, ranking fourth, down 29.2% year-on-year. In addition to the Mercedes-Benz GLC, bmw X3 sales were only 8433 units, down 33.0% year-on-year; Audi Q5L sales of only 4212 units, ranking eighteenth, down 73.4% year-on-year.
However, Volvo XC60 sales were relatively stable, with sales of 5506 units in March, surpassing the Sales of Audi Q5L, up 8.6% year-on-year.
BYD Tang New Energy is also close to the 10,000-vehicle mark, with sales of 9,625 vehicles in March, ranking fifth, an increase of more than 4 times year-on-year. In addition, Hongqi HS5 sold 6830 vehicles, lower than last month's sales, down 41.4% year-on-year. Changan UNI-K, NIO ES6 and other two self-brand medium-sized SUVs sold more than 5,000 units, 5,155 and 5,064 respectively.
In terms of Toyota brands, Highlander sold 7,260 vehicles in March, ranking tenth, up 3.3% year-on-year. Its sibling model Crown sold 4,511 units on land. In addition, the newly launched Toyota Wesa sold 4,401 units in the first month, while Toyota Lingfang sold 3,469 units.
Other medium-sized SUVs with better sales include: Buick Encore sold 9304 units, Honda Guandao sold 5376 units, Zero-Run C11 sold 4201 units, Trumpchi GS8 sold 4119 units, honda UR-V sold 3937 units. The AITO M5, which has Huawei pedigree, sold 3,045 units in March.
