On April 18th, Konka held an online conference on Konka APHAEA's 2022 spring strategic new products with the theme of "Smart New Definition".

At the meeting, Zhu Zhongqing, general manager of the marketing division of Konka Electronic Technology China, said that the color TV industry in the mainland is gradually entering the adjustment period after years of rapid growth. He pointed out that the color TV market must shift from functional consumption to meet the needs of improved and hedonistic quality consumption, from the infinite stacking of hardware parameters such as sound quality, picture quality, and appearance to the catering and satisfaction of consumers' deep life needs and usage habits.

Based on this, Konka released a new cross-ecological large-screen operating system - ME GrapefruitOS, and the flagship new smart scene screen APHAEA A6 Pro equipped with the system.

Among them, the C12 quantum dot MiniLED smart screen released by TCL in 2021 is priced at 12999 yuan and the price of 75 inches is 16999 yuan; while the price of C12E, which has been upgraded this year, the corresponding size price is 11999 yuan and 14999 yuan. At the same time, the C12E has added an 85-inch version with a price of 21999 yuan.

The QN800A and QN900A released by Samsung in 2021 will sell for 44,499 yuan and 69,999 yuan respectively for its 75-inch TV, while the QN700B series 75-inch price released this year is 34,999 yuan.

In addition to TVs, since the beginning of this year, products equipped with MiniLED backlight technology have also emerged in an endless stream, such as Samsung, BOE, Philips, AOC, etc. launched MiniLED backlit displays, and Pegasus launched a MiniLED backlit display for soundable vehicles.

However, a fact that cannot be ignored is that although the price of MiniLED backlight products has been declining, it has not yet reached the optimal solution of technology and cost. Of course, the enthusiasm of the terminal also gives the industry chain great confidence, MiniLED backlight is expected to usher in a decline in cost and market expansion in 2022.

In terms of market size, LEDinside, the optoelectronic research office of TrendForce Jibang Consulting, also expects that the overall shipment of MiniLED backlit TVs will challenge 4.5 million units in 2022, while the shipments of MiniLED backlit LCD monitors and MiniLED backlit laptops will also grow to varying degrees.
