On April 13, suining county culture, tourism, radio, television and sports bureau and loess mining town government organized staff to go deep into Dawan village to excavate and sort out local red resources, so that the spirit of hard bones can continue to be passed on in Suining.
Following the footsteps of the Long March of the Red Second Army, the staff successively went to Niulan Chong, Taiping Village, Land Pass and other places to find the red army combat relics, the one-armed General Bingyan Battle, the saw arm healing place, the martyrs' tomb, collect and sort out red stories, collect bayonets, bullets, magazines, combs, horse lanterns and other precious objects, and excavate other red cultural resources.
Suining, a piece of red hot land, gave birth to the well-known He Bingyan "hard bone spirit". On December 21, 1935, He Long, Ren Bishi, Xiao Ke and others led the Red Second and Sixth Armies to the loess mine area, and He Bingyan, then the commander of the Fifth Division of the Red Second Army, fought with the 184th Brigade of the 62nd Division of the Nationalist Army in Niulanchong, Taipingzhai and Land Pass. During the battle of the Land Pass, He Bingyan's right arm was unfortunately broken by a machine gun bullet, and he endured severe pain to heal his wounds without anesthesia. This "hard-bone spirit" of the general has inspired generations of Suining people.
Suining County gives full play to the unique role of red resources in inheriting red genes and carrying forward the revolutionary spirit, digs deep into the rich connotation of the "spirit of hard bones", and strives to continue to exert efforts in building red positions, telling red stories, collecting red cultural relics, etc., telling the story of General He Bingyan well and thoroughly, further doing a good job in the inheritance, protection and development and utilization of red culture, and promoting the economic and social development of the whole county.
