Whenever he talked about his career, he always talked about it, his eyebrows danced, and he gushed endlessly. The passionate conversation is extremely inflammatory, so that the listener can't help but be infected by his emotions.

Lin Hai's ancestral home is Shandong, born in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the great northwest, in his body there is both the simplicity, stubbornness and optimism of the northwestern people, but also the intelligence, wisdom and alertness of the Shandong people, whenever he talks about the steppe, talks about the gold and silver beach, he is always so affectionate and excited. It can be seen that he is so loving and attached to the place where he was born and grew up in Si. He loves the mountains of the plateau; the water of the plateau; the blue sky and white clouds there; the grass and trees there; and even more the Tibetan friends who play with him and grow up together. Therefore, the image of the Tibetan people in his pen has an indescribable and distinctive artistic feeling. I think that is his unique knowledge and understanding of the plateau and the Tibetan people, which is a profound feeling that those painters who go to Tibetan areas to look at the flowers and float the light cannot feel.

The wind of the plateau, the ultraviolet rays of the plateau, and the unique natural conditions of the plateau have created the simple and simple living habits of the plateau and the thick and rough form and appearance. How do you express these character traits? What techniques are used to express it? All of this, we in the traditional figure painting is difficult to find ready-made answers and models, painters must create an artistic language that conforms to the laws of art according to their own feelings, Ni Linhai is relying on the familiarity and exploration of Tibetans, found their own unique artistic language.
First of all, his creation is not to apply the current popular model, but under the premise of respecting the laws of art, coupled with his own personal feelings and understanding, the pen and ink forms have been reconstructed and interpreted, such as the pen and ink treatment of the head of the character, the construction of the hair, the pen and ink of the clothing, these pen and ink techniques, which he gradually explored in the creative process. The distinct uniqueness of the artistic language is the result of his long-term life observation experience, a feeling that cannot be obtained by those hurried passers-by on the prairie. Because he has systematically received training in drawing and oil painting, has solid modeling ability and good color cultivation, at the same time, he has a more in-depth study and exploration of Chinese painting, two different cultures, different artistic elements in his works, has been naturally integrated, which makes the artistic expression of his works have been greatly improved, especially his Tibetan portrait series works, more can reflect his talent and solid modeling ability in this area, free of flexible pen and ink skills, so that the picture is thick and strong, And vivid, simple and deep gaze, tough and thick face, the use of heavy ink, appropriate and accurate expression of the unique form and spiritual temperament of the plateau people, I think this batch of works has a strong artistic personality, very artistic expression and appeal, and has a strong academic nature, this is the most distinctive and shocking portrait works I have seen showing Tibetans.
