The immersive simulation sandbox game Weird West, published by Devolver Digital and developed by WolfEye Studios, has sold more than 400,000 copies since its launch on March 31. Wild West is a game with rich elements, set in the dark fairy tale reconstructed world of the Wild West, a continent where law enforcement officers, extralegal gunners and magical creatures work together on the westward march. Each journey will be unique and risky, and the environment around the player will react with each step of the player's action.

Creator Raphael and another creator, Julien, have a great passion for simulation games, which originated as children playing Genesis VII (Ultima 7) and "Ultima Underworld", and the immersive simulation experience has had a profound impact and endless driving force on the two little boys they are fascinated with, and it continues to this day.

Raphael founded Arkane Studios in 1999, and soon after Julien joined the team, becoming the backbone of the process of Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah, and Dishonored. Wild West is their first attempt at a top-down immersive simulation game. While not many previous titles have ventured into this area, as immersive simulation games are often more common in the first person, they firmly believe that the top-down perspective conveys the concept of the game very well, and it also pays homage to the classic style of Genesis.

That's how Wild West was created: the creators wanted to share the gift of "immersion" they received as children with a whole new generation. Create the same world for players, let them play freely, become who they want to be, and unreservedly pour out their feelings for the characters they encounter and the places they explore.
