"Urban Meteorology One: Symphony of Clouds and Rain" Lu Zhiping

In the face of the epidemic, some people have stepped forward, some people have gone up against the current, and some people have remained kind and frank. In the days of fighting the epidemic at home, Hongqiao Museum of Contemporary Art mobilized artists to use their different artistic languages to record the memories of this special period...

"Today, we have a common name" Xiong Youfei, Lou Hui

Xiong Youfei: In my painting is a figure dressed in white, which is the epitome of all the characters who are fighting in the frontline of the fight against the epidemic. In the isolation ward, they are medical workers; in the city blocks, they are the police who maintain the safety of Shanghai; during the stay at home, they are volunteers who help residents deliver anti-epidemic materials, food, medicines, they come from all walks of life, they are the blood of the normal operation of the community... What touched me was that most of them rushed to the front line are MEMBERS of the Communist Party of China, the party emblem pinned to their chests is particularly dazzling, they are "anti-epidemic pioneers", they are not afraid of suffering, not afraid of tiredness, selfless efforts and struggles for all fronts of the fight against the epidemic, these deeds are what I see every day, so I named this work: "Today, we have a common name", with this work to pay tribute to all the anti-epidemic personnel who are fighting in the frontline.

"A Bar Series 4" Zou Xiangqun

Zou Xiangqun: In the early spring of Nongyin, the epidemic is raging, the control of the home, every three to five antigen tests, whenever you watch the liquid slowly rise, no letters, finally in the C faintly appeared a red bar, and then immediately ran to see the family test, until the whole family are a bar, will sit down to drink tea, a long breath of relief, it seems that life is hanging on the line.

Thinking of our city, isn't it now also strongly maintained by an invisible red line? This red line is maintained by each of us, especially the doctors who rush to the front, such as Dabai, volunteers, street properties, courier brothers, etc. Although it is difficult, we believe that we will be able to keep this red line, because we are in Shanghai.

When a red line as small as less than a millimeter and a city of twenty-five million people appear on a single picture at the same time, a great artistic contrast is formed, showing a tragic cry and a belief in victory. This is also the artistic power that my group of works want to express.

"Zhuge Liang's Book of Commandments" Zhang Shi

Zhang Shi: Calligraphy is an art that requires calm thinking. Under the epidemic, in addition to the busy work from home, we have added a sense of solitude and tranquility. As a cultural and artistic worker, I would like to appeal not only to work together with the staff fighting on the front line to tide over the difficulties, but also to make good use of this special period to improve ourselves.

Don't be upset by the arrival of the epidemic, and don't be overwhelmed by gossip. From now on, be a self-disciplined person, maintain a good attitude at home, adjust to a normal lifestyle, read two more books, and learn something that you usually have no chance to learn because of your busy work... I believe that the more disciplined, the more free. If everyone is self-disciplined, then we will not be far from victory in the fight against the epidemic.
