Mei Yu graduated from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in the late 1970s, which can be regarded as a senior old art academy. When she was studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, she studied oil painting, but her later creation turned to Chinese painting of flowers and birds, and she painted for more than 40 years. More than 40 years of bittersweet and sour, I think only Meiyu pin can get a taste. For the viewer, what they see is only the beauty of brush and ink, the beauty of composition and the beauty of meaning conveyed by her works.
The transition from oil painting to Chinese painting and more than 40 years of persistence not only makes people see the infinite charm of traditional Chinese painting, but also makes people see Meiyu's deep love for chinese painting art.

"Flowers Like Flowers" "Autumn Xintu"
Meiyu paints flowers and birds, and there is a plum character in the name, so it is natural to chase after the heart of the plum blossom. Painting Mei Yike, since the crown of the King of the Yuan Dynasty, the scholars have painted the cold and high elegance, a style of a gentleman in the world. They write about the god of plums, mostly "flowers blossoming and faint ink marks"; they mold the bones of plums, mostly "do not let people boast about the good color"; they preach the god of plums, mostly "leaving only the clear air and full of dryness". Wang Mian is like this, Yang Wuchai is like this, Jin Dongxin, Wang Shishen... The same is true. Shifu has gone, and the ancient times have gone far, and when people write Mei, they actually do the opposite, blindly seeking their beauty and chasing after their beauty, and a weak and vulgar attitude. It is also a creature between heaven and earth, a generation, a plum, but it is the form of the two poles of mentality, and if the plum looks at it, it should also cry.
Therefore, he felt that Wang Jinggong could be regarded as a true confidant of Mei for thousands of years, and the plum in his heart was not only "Ling Han alone", but also "for the dark incense", not only writing the wind bone of Mei, but also showing the charm of Mei. Meiyu writes mei, strong opening writes its bones, and the flower posture and splendid embroidery write its god, the origin is probably from the two families of Miao Lao and Bai Shi Weng, who can get the purpose of the atmosphere circling and the god's heavy bone cold, which is more in line with the spiritual exposure of Wang Jinggongmei's confidant. Therefore, Mei Yu's writing of Mei is actually a portrayal of her own heart and bones.

Meiyu paints flowers and birds, flowers and grasses write everything, fish, insects, bees and butterflies create everything, such as Plum Chrysanthemum Lingxiao, Dangui Xiantao, Magnolia Lotus Wind are all realistic about flowers, and have gained from years of exploration. As she said: "Drawing gourds, failing again and again, starting again and again, tireless, tireless, bitter in heart, difficult to watch." And: "The female lyricist Li Qingzhao described 'people are thinner than yellow flowers', indicating that chrysanthemums were thin in ancient times." Nowadays, chrysanthemums are as big as buckets, pen and ink should be contemporary, painting chrysanthemums will change, I don't know if I have painted thousands of flowers, thousands of paintings." As early as the early 90s of the last century, her "Chrysanthemum Map" won unanimous praise from experts and won the first prize of the Xi'an Generation Association. The ink gourd, named "Qiu Xin", also won the outstanding achievement of the Excellence Award of the Capital Art Fair in 1998.
Flowers and birds are everywhere, and Meiyu is good at finding their different beauty in life. After seeing her paintings, the famous painter Liu Wenxi praised her: "You use your own eyes to discover what others in life do not have, and the new beauty in life." And Mei Yu herself also wrote: "On a rainy day, I watch the lotus flower, it is more delicate, colorful, bright and fresh, but few people pay attention to it, as far as my painting is concerned, whether it is the sun or heavy rain, all day long sketching, finally the sky does not live up to the hard heart." Because of her love for painting and the observation of life and her familiarity with the principles of pen and ink, Meiyu paints rain lotus, which can make people get the artistic feeling of "ink dripping with obstacles".

Reading the various flowers and birds of Meiyu reveals the consistent spiritual connotation of the thick atmosphere in different postures and different colors. Meiyu, who was born in Western painting, has a more comfortable grasp and expression of color, and different customs. Therefore, reading Meiyu's paintings can't help but remind people of the Seventy-two Yu of Qinling Mountains, although the scenery of Yuyu is different, but the thick atmosphere of the Qinling Mountains is connected. Mei Yu's paintings give people the first impression of the atmosphere .
Mr. Itabashi has a poem: "For forty years, I have written bamboo branches, and I have written night thoughts during the day." It is cumbersome and thin, and when it is raw, it is cooked. Meiyu has also been painting for more than 40 years, and more than 40 years of perseverance have made people see her familiarity with the texture of the object of painting and her proficiency in the use of painting tools, and while admiring her extraordinary achievements, she also looks forward to her "painting when it is mature when it is raw".

He graduated from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1975 and studied Chinese electric flower and bird painting with Mr. Miao Mo of the Chang'an School in 1990. He is currently a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Artists Association, an academician of the Shaanxi Chang'an Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and a member of the Chinese Painters Association.
In December 1995, the Meiyu Chinese Painting Exhibition was held at the Shaanxi Provincial Art Museum, and "Chrysanthemum Painting" won the first prize of the Women's Calligraphy and Painting Award of the Generation Association.
In 1996, "Autumn Qingtu" won the first prize of Chang'an Century Style Art.
In 1998, he won the Excellence Award of the Capital Art Fair.
