Sony's studio Rangers have developed a number of well-known games for Sony, including the Horizon series and the Killzone series, but in recent years there has been little news about The Killing Strip. Recently, well-known whistleblower Oopsleaks posted that Ranger Studios and Sony have shifted their focus to the Horizon series, and "Killingzone" has been hidden.
Oopsleaks tweeted that Rangers Studios is developing a multiplayer shooter competitive game, with an eSports focus, that has been in development for 3 years, with the developers of Rainbow Six: Siege also involved. In addition, he said that the title may be a new "SOCOM" game, but it may also be a spin-off of the Horizon worldview, the details of which will be announced soon.
For the ranger's IP future, oopsleaks said that the "Killing Zone" series has been hidden, and the future Rangers will focus on the Horizon series, which will have a trilogy of games, and with the development of VR spin-off games, the Horizon universe will expand and launch more content. Rangers are also planning to develop online single-player games or extensions for it that will be similar to Monster Hunter: World.
The Killing Strip is a first-person shooter series developed for Sony by Ranger Studios, the original title was released on PS2 in 2004.
