Text/Arc

If it's the hottest and most talked about game engine right now, you must be thinking of Unreal 5. We have also seen a lot of Unreal Engine 5 technology demos before, and the previous release of the "Matrix: Awakening" Unreal Engine demo is a testimony to the strong performance support of this engine in the actual game.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney is clearly very confident in this engine, and recently revealed that 48% of game developers announced that second-generation console games are powered by Unreal Engine, including Ark 2, The Witcher and Tomb Raider. The 48% ratio is already a staggering number for game developers, close to half. Developers chose Unreal Engine because it's so convenient and efficient. In particular, UE5 streamlined optimized workflows and Nanoite, a micro-polygon virtualization technology, which imports huge, cinematic-quality scans into scenes in real time. The dynamic global illumination technology Lumen also simplifies the work of developers to create and edit light sources, bringing us infinitely realistic scenes.

Tim Sweeney also said that in addition to the gaming industry, Unreal Engine is also very widely used, car designers, fashion designers and architects use Unreal Engine to do everything from design visualization to brand activation and cross-border entertainment, and the film and television industry can also use it for virtual production.

Epic Games

EPIC Games is one of the most prestigious game production teams in the last decade, largely because of its best-selling Gears of War series. The team's Unreal Engine 3 has been used by countless game production teams. In 2011, EPIC Games released Gears of War 3, which attracted widespread praise from the industry.
