Lingdu L is based on the MQB-Evo architecture of the second generation of the series, as its name suggests, L stands for its longer wheelbase, but in the absence of overseas counterparts, this English letter actually means more, such as Line, Luxury and Hanyu Pinyin Chinese "LA (spicy)".
Line and "LA" are largely talking about the design of the vehicle, and when we see the front face, we really feel less "public", including the charm eye headlights that fit the edge of the hood and the bulging of the wheels, the built-in grille that fully integrates with the front bumper, and the all-black digital taillights at the tail end. However, objectively speaking, its hatchback and taillights are the finishing touches, but the embedded grille will not be popular with everyone, and it will be slightly more aggressive visually, at least for multi-family families, it seems to be a little too high-profile.
But as many people call it, the Lingdu L itself is a sports car, and this high profile is actually understandable for its target users. Moreover, its C-pillar is now truly connected to the tailgate, becoming a hatchback coupe that can be opened along with the rear windshield. And the smoother C-pillar will also bring a sneaky feeling to the body, which is almost a must-have element of a coupe, and the small ducktail formed at the far end of the tailgate and the large encirclement in the rear bumper will also ensure its sense of sportiness.
Entering the cockpit, the first thing we feel is of course the charm of the borderless door, Lingdu L does a better job than Tesla in this regard, its fan opening is larger, and the door panel is surrounded and filled more softly and advanced.

The only pity is that the whole series only has a reversing image, and cannot achieve panoramic display, which is not very friendly for the 4784mm long Lingdu L.

In terms of powertrain, lingdu L did not choose the lowest displacement to lower the threshold, but put the 280TSI DSG nameplate on all models, which represents a 1.4TSI turbo engine and a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission, the former can provide a maximum power of 110kW (150Ps) and a maximum torque of 250N·m. Unfortunately, in the case of not very high engine data, its DSG, like all Volkswagen A-Class cars, is in a dry version, and the lack of liquid-cooled technology makes it difficult not to worry about its low-speed setbacks.
However, the Lingdu L 280TSI DSG can achieve a comprehensive fuel consumption of as low as 5.92L/100km, which is very suitable for young people whose economic strength itself is not too high, and based on its own product of an MQB-Evo, this robust powertrain, solid suspension tuning and 4784/1831/1469mm/2731mm brings a spacious space. Both can make the vehicle in the sports coupe segment also maintain the satisfaction of the family.
