How are chiller pipes and valves connected? What are the common ways to connect?
We know that industrial chillers have cooling water pipes, chilled water pipes, cooling water pumps, chilled water tanks, condensers, evaporators and other container components, which together constitute an industrial refrigeration equipment and are widely used in various types of manufacturing.
So what are the industrial chiller components connected by? The following Cadely chiller to explain to friends, there are roughly 4 ways to connect: welding, flange connection, threaded connection, quick joint connection.
First, welded connection
Welded connections are often used in industrial engineering for fixed pipe connections, such as large-diameter steel pipes and high-temperature and high-pressure pipe connections. Large chemical water-cooled screw chiller, cooling water circulation pipeline, long, need to be welded in sections, to achieve rapid installation and fixation of equipment.
The advantages are high interface strength, high sealing, fast joint fittings, rapid construction, and no restrictions on pipe diameter size.
The disadvantage is that it is not disassembleable, the interface operation process is complex, and it requires welding equipment and welder manpower cooperation, which consumes manpower and material costs.
Second, flange connection
Flange connection, widely used in the pipe and pipe fittings or flange interface equipment connection, pipe and valve connection and pipeline need to be disassembled and repaired location, generally used in the caliber of DN50 or above.
The advantages of the flange connection are high connection strength, good sealing and easy disassembly. However, when installing flange parts, pay attention to the thickness of the gasket and the tightening force.
For example, when an industrial chiller installs a flanged valve, the high-pressure asbestos board is used as a pad, and the thickness is determined according to the depth of the flange groove on the valve. When the valve is large and the groove is deep, use a thicker asbestos plate to avoid a loose seal. When assembling a flanged valve, all bolts must be forced uniformly.
Third, threaded connection
Threaded connection is a detachable fixed connection, which has the advantages of simple structure, reliable connection, and convenient assembly and disassembly.
Threads can be divided into triangular, rectangular, trapezoidal and zigzag threads. According to the spiral detour direction, there is a difference between left and right hand threads, and there are more right-handed threads in general mechanical manufacturing.
Used in chiller manufacturing, the general application of the caliber range between DN15 and DN80.
The precautions for threaded connection are: the filler must not protrude into the inside of the pipeline and the valve, otherwise it will reduce the end face of the pipe, the filler is strictly forbidden to use white paint hemp wire instead, and the wire port connection should be tightened at one time, and must not be returned and loosened.
Fourth, the quick connector connection
Quick couplings are fittings that enable pipe on and off and do not require professional tools to install. It is generally divided into: quick couplings for air, common quick couplings for gas and liquids, quick couplings for oil pressure, quick couplings for inert gases, and quick couplings for cooling water temperature oil.
Quick coupling connection, with exchange, maintenance, testing, conveying, filling, connecting and other functions, in the production and use of large chillers, play a time-saving, labor-saving, fuel-saving, environmentally friendly, economical, convenient transportation combination characteristics.
