NASA's Perseverance Probe obtained photographs of witty Mars helicopters landing at the bottom of Jezero Crater

In 2021, mars exploration has achieved great development.

In this year of special significance, the Mars Club joins two new partners, helicopters fly over the sky of the Red Planet for the first time, and humans embark on a majestic strategy of recovering samples across planets.

A number of projects were launched in February, including three closely watched probes that have successfully landed on Mars, including hope in the United Arab Emirates, which sailed into orbit on Feb. 9, the first transplanetary probe in an Arab country.

Just a day later, China's indigenously produced Mars probe Astronomy 1 also successfully entered orbit. On February 18, NASA's car-sized Perseverance Probe arrived inside Jezero Crater on Mars. (Earth and Mars only produce a suitable path for transplanetary launch probes every 26 months, with the last launch window being the summer of 2020.) This also explains why the probes from the three missions arrived on Mars at about the same point in time. )

The three detectors are increasingly powerful. Hope continues to monitor the Martian atmosphere, and the data it collects will help scientists better understand the weather and climate of the Red Planet.

Tianwen-1 is searching for clues to buried water ice while on other missions, including mapping the Martian magnetic field and analyzing the composition of surface rocks. In May, the Zhurong probe separated from orbit and successfully landed on the Great Plains of Mars, the Utopian Plains.

The successful landing of Zhu Rong is a milestone for China. Previously, China has successfully landed on the moon with 2 probes, but there has never been a transplanetary landing. Zhu Rong is on search for Martian water ice, obtaining geographic and climatic data, and other missions. While strolling through the great plains of Utopia, Zhu Rong took some selfies.

Perseverance is searching for signs of life on ancient Mars at the 28-mile (45-kilometer) wide Jezero Crater. This crater existed billions of years ago as a large lake and river delta. In addition, perseverance, which has six wheels, is also collecting and storing some Martian samples, and plans to transport them back to Earth as early as 2031 through a joint operation by the US and European Space Agency.

The mission team said perseverance was carrying 43 sample tubes, of which 6 tubes had been sealed.

The hunk is not alone on Mars, as it also attaches a 4-pound (1.8 kg) Wit helicopter to its belly. After the two brothers landed, The Witty made five pioneering flights on the surface of Jezero. Witty's successful flight shows that despite the thin atmosphere of Mars (the density of the atmosphere on Mars is only about 1% of the density of Earth's ocean atmosphere), it is still possible to probe Mars by helicopter.

Although Witty has demonstrated its technical prowess, NASA has expanded its mission for the small helicopter. Now, it is providing reconnaissance flight services to Perseverance. So far, Witty has flown 18 times on Mars, flying more than 30 minutes and covering 2.37 miles (3.8 kilometers).

Jessica of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. Samuels, who led the team on the Perseverance mission, said in a tubing video about the probe and helicopter released by the laboratory on January 28: "Helicopters have become an important asset and partner for our scientific team. ”

Of course, the newly arrived partners are not the only exploration robots for Mars research. For example, NASA's Curiosity probe has been operating in Gaelic Crater for 96 miles (154 kilometers) since landing on Mars in August 2012, while the SPACE AGENCY's InSight lander for detecting Mars earthquakes has been working on Mars for nearly three years.

There are also track runners. NASA's Odyssey Mars Orbiter, Reconnaissance Orbiter, and MAVEN (Martian Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution) probe began orbiting Mars in 2001, 2006, and 2014, respectively. India's orbiter and the United States' MAVEN reached Mars orbit at about the same time.

The European Space Agency's Mars Express arrived on Mars in late 2003 and orbited mars. In addition, as part of the ExoMars project jointly carried out by the European Space Agency and the Russian Space Agency, the Gas Exploration Orbiter has arrived on Mars in September 2016 and can be used to absorb methane from the Martian atmosphere as well as other low levels of gases.

Mars ( Latin : Mars ) is the fourth closest planet to the Sun and the second smallest planet in the Solar System after Mercury , making it one of the four Terrestrial planets in the Solar System. The West calls Mars Mars, the god of war in Roman mythology, so in English, Mars is the meaning of the Roman god of war, usually called "Red Planet"; in ancient Chinese, it is called Ying confusion because it is like a fire, and the position and brightness often change unpredictably.

Mars is the second smallest of the eight planets in the solar system, and its mass and volume are only slightly larger than Mercury. Mars is about half the diameter of the Earth, and its axis of rotation has an inclination and rotation period comparable to that of the Earth, but the orbit around the Sun is twice as long as that of the Earth. On Earth, Mars is visible to the naked eye and can reach a brightness of -2.91, which is only darker than Venus, the Moon and the Sun, but darker than Jupiter for most of the time. Mars is as close as 54 million kilometers from Earth (up to 400 million kilometers, and the probe needs to fly about 7 months to reach Mars).
