Wit will then prepare for the twenty-fifth flight, the most anticipated flight, flying 704 meters to the northwest and breaking the record for the ninth flight distance, see Option C in the image above.

In addition, NASA's JPL Mars Helicopter team received the Robert J. Collier trophy, which was awarded by the National Aeronautic Association in recognition of the Quizzes team's completion of a power-controlled flight on Red Mars, the first flight on another planet.

Attached to the belly of the Perseverance rover, Wit landed on Mars on February 18, 2021, and made its first flight on April 19, 2021. With an altitude of 0.49 meters, a rotor system width of about 1.2 meters and a weight of 1.8 kilograms, the Witty was originally scheduled to carry out 5 flights, and 24 flights have been completed so far.

Finally, listen to a passage of Martian sounds recorded by Perseverance, indicating that the speed of sound on Mars is slower than on Earth, at least for the current season, Mars is very, very quiet. Video from NASA Mars.
