The Motorola Moto G52 doesn't sound like a successor to the Moto G51 5G. First, it doesn't support 5G. In fact, the phone is more like an upgraded version of the Moto G41.

The Moto G52 phone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 680, which is a 6nm modification of the Snapdragon 662. This is actually not as good as the performance of the Snapdragon 480+ within the G51 5G – it has a Cortex-A73/A53-derived core (compared to the A76/A55) and the Adreno 610 (compared to the 619), plus only 4G modems. The only drawback of the Snapdragon 480+ is that it uses an older 8nm process and is less efficient.

The Moto G52 phone also has 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage, and comes pre-installed to run Android 12.
