Motorola's first vertical scroll screen phone is coming: codenamed "Felix"

Previously, Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo's mobile phone business department in China, released a message that the new folding screen flagship is already on the road, and it is not too much to say now, but a lot of efforts have been made for the common pain points. Recently, it was reported that Motorola was developing the first vertical scroll screen phone, code-named "Felix".

According to foreign media @91mobile, Motorola will launch a third generation of foldable mobile phones, a Razr brand flip phone code-named Maven, which will debut later this year. In addition to developing another foldable phone, the Maven successor, code-named Juno, the company is also developing a more ambitious device: a curlable phone called "Felix" internally.

According to reports, "Felix" is different from previous concept products such as OPPO and LG. OPPO and LG's concept scroll screen phones are both traditional phone sizes and then expanded to tablet sizes. Motorola's Felix will try to expand the screen vertically, with about a third of its display wrapped around the spindle at the bottom and then electrically unfolding to make the entire phone longer. It also said that Felix is still in the early stages of development and is at least a year away from mass production.

Motorola's new folding screen machine, code-named Maven, which eliminates Razr's iconic chin and integrates a fingerprint sensor into the power button, will first be available in China in late July or early August, with the machine or the all-new Motorola Razr3. Judging from the exposed pictures, Razr3 will adopt the scheme of folding the top and bottom flap.

The Razr3 will remove the bulge in the chin and integrate a fingerprint sensor into the power button. In terms of configuration, the Razr3 will be equipped with a rear 50MP f/1.8 main camera + 13MP wide-angle/macro combination sensor, equipped with a centered punch screen with a resolution of FHD+ and a 32MP front camera. According to reports, Maven initially planned to launch two versions: one equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 processor, and the other with the Plus version (SM8475) equipped with Snapdragon 8. However, due to the delay in delivery of the SM8475, it is unclear when Motorola plans to adopt the SM8475. In addition, the new machine will use 8G or 12G memory and 256G or 512G storage.
