IT House March 31 news, today, IDC released the global PC monitor tracking report, the fourth quarter of 2021 global PC monitor shipments fell 5.2% year-on-year. Global PC display shipments for the full year of 2021 continued to exceed expectations, up 5.0% year-on-year, with shipments reaching 140 million units, the highest level since 2018.
IT House understands that IDC said that the market is becoming increasingly saturated, and inflationary pressures brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine crisis will further accelerate the cooling of the market environment in 2022. IDC expects global display shipments to decline 3.6% year-over-year in 2022.
According to the report, in the fourth quarter of 2021, China's PC monitor market shipped 8.16 million units, down 2% year-on-year. In 2021, China's PC monitor market shipped 32.31 million units, an increase of 9.7% year-on-year, the highest growth rate in a decade.
IDC expects China's PC monitor shipments to be less than 32 million in 2022, down 1.4% year-on-year.
In terms of e-sports displays, China shipped 3.13 million e-sports displays in 2021, an increase of only 2.5% year-on-year. E-sports display shipments are expected to be 3.93 million units in 2022, up 25.7% year-on-year.
In terms of curved displays, China shipped 2.2 million curved displays in 2021, down 31.2% year-on-year.
In terms of high-resolution displays, China shipped 4.57 million high-resolution displays in 2021, with a market share of 14.1%, an increase of 34.2% year-on-year.
