According to TrendForce's latest research, in the first quarter of 2024, the total global shipments of OLED displays will be about 200,000 units, with a year-on-year growth rate of 121%.
It is expected that the total shipment of OLED displays in the first half of the year will reach 500,000 units. Full-year shipments in 2024 are expected to reach 1.34 million units, with an annual growth rate of 161%.
At present, the OLED display market is mainly dominated by foreign brands, and the top three in the first quarter were South Korea's Samsung, the United States' Dell and South Korea's LG, which together have a market share of 76%. Chinese brands ASUS and MSI came in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Samsung ranks first with a 36% market share, and its sales are mainly 49-inch OLED products. Since its price is only about 20% higher than LCD displays, the advantage of high cost performance makes it the best in the market.
Dell is in second place with a 21% market share, and it launched new 27-inch and 31.5-inch OLED displays in the first quarter.
LG is in third place with a 19% market share, and in addition to the original 27-inch, 45-inch and 48-inch OLED products, it also launched new 34-inch and 39-inch products in the first quarter, bringing its shipments to a new high.
ASUS's OLED product line covers the full range from 15.6-inch to 49-inch, with a market share of about 10% in the first quarter, ranking fourth.
MSI released a number of 31.5-inch and 27-inch OLED displays earlier this year, while also launching competitively priced 34-inch and 49-inch products, which gave it a significant increase of 6 percentage points in its market share in the first quarter to 7%, ranking fifth.
