Kunming, March 30 (Xinhua) -- On march 30, the long-form reportage "Peasant Academician" was officially released nationwide, and the book seminar was held simultaneously in Beijing and Kunming. The book truly restores the "model of the times" and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Zhu Youyong's journey of taking root in the countryside and alleviating poverty through science and technology for several years, telling his vivid story of practicing the work concept of "writing papers on the earth and bearing fruits in heaven and earth" and leading the people who have passed through the nationalities to create a better life.
The Farmer Academician Book Seminar was conducted by video. Li Jingze, vice chairman of the China Writers Association, said that as a reportage reflecting the poverty alleviation, the characteristics of the book are that while showing the process of poverty alleviation in rural Yunnan, it embodies the power of China's scientific and technological innovation, uses scientific and technological progress to improve farmers' lives, promotes the change of the face of society and reality in rural areas, and provides a good sample for the public to understand and feel the new era, new journey and new atmosphere.

Zhu Youyong said that the language of "Peasant Academician" is plain and kind, grounded, and is a reportage with both humanistic spirit and popular science significance.

Li Chunlei, the author of "Peasant Academician", won the Lu Xun Literature Award and is now the vice president of the China Reportage Literature Society and the vice chairman of the Hebei Writers Association. In the early stage of his creation, he went deep into the frontline of poverty alleviation in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County in Yunnan Province and kunming for many times, ate and lived and worked with Zhu Youyong, talked face to face, and followed his footsteps throughout the villages and villages of Lancang.
"The three innovative points of this book are the vivid and vivid depiction of the relatively abstract world of natural science with literary brushwork, the depiction of a frontier national customs painting, and the careful design of the narrative of the whole book."
