Malhaba Abdul Reim, a resident of the friendly community of Maigeti Town, Maigeti County, came with her child to be vaccinated, and with the help of volunteers and medical staff, she completed health testing, information entry, vaccination and other work in less than 15 minutes, and she was very satisfied with the warm service. It is understood that in this round of polio vaccination work, a total of 11 fixed vaccination points have been set up in the county, and the vaccination range is for children aged 0-4 years, and each vaccination point has arranged special personnel to maintain on-site order, guide the masses to vaccinate in an orderly manner, and advise parents to pay attention to observing whether there are adverse reactions after their children are vaccinated.
Mayinur Alipu, director of the Bazayumi Town Health Center in Maigeti County, said: "In the early stage, we have carried out polio vaccination publicity in various villages, surveyed the children of the right age in the town, and dispatched qualified medical personnel to carry out targeted vaccination. After the vaccination began, we set up a waiting area and a viewing area at the vaccination point to arrange special guidance to ensure that the children stayed in the observation room for 30 minutes after the vaccination was completed to ensure the safety of vaccination. ”
Up to now, 2384 children have been vaccinated against polio in McGeti County, and through vaccination work, the occurrence and spread of poliovirus cases have been effectively prevented and the healthy growth of children has been ensured.
Luo Xiuling, director of the McGeti County Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said: "In order to improve the level of population immunity and protect the health of children, McGeti County from March 28 to April 1, 2018, children born across the county from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021, regardless of their place of residence and birth, regardless of their previous immunization history, need to be vaccinated against polio." In this vaccination campaign, the target children who have not been vaccinated against polio in the past will be supplemented with inactivated polio vaccine for the first round, and the target children with a history of polio vaccine immunization will receive live bivalent polio vaccine in both rounds.
