Moonlight Cockroach, the developer of the heartwarming horror text adventure game Fireworks, is not yet available, but a free demo version was just released this week. Players who like "Fireworks" must have been looking forward to this for a long time.

The process of the demo version is not long, about 1 hour of play, but it has roughly explained the background of the whole story and the relationship between several main characters, and also described the mysterious events of the "three-eyed child" that need to be investigated in the main line. About two weeks ago, I briefly summarized the experience of playing the first two chapters of the action game Ghostwire: Tokyo, led by Shinji Mikami, the "Father of Resident Evil" Anderson. The conclusion was that if you were interested in Japanese stranger things, urban legends, and a mild horror atmosphere, while embracing open-world elements and first-person operation, Ghost Line Tokyo was a game worth playing.
Yesterday (March 25th), the game was officially released, and my conclusions remain unchanged.
Let's briefly introduce the gameplay of Ghost Line Tokyo: the game is played in the first person, and the protagonist spends most of his time fighting with spells called "Ethereal Combat Techniques". Ethereal combat skills are divided into three attributes: wind, water, and fire, using the common FPS game gun analogy, the wind attribute is equivalent to the pistol (single shot, average damage, many bullets), the water attribute is equivalent to the shotgun (short range, range attack, higher damage, less bullets), and the wind attribute is equivalent to grenades (high damage, additional effects such as penetration defense, and least bullets). All Ethereal Combat Techniques have two attack modes: Normal and Charge. When the enemy approaches, the protagonist can also use defense, perfect defense (similar to bounce back) not only does not shed blood, but also replenishes ammo with skill points.

Players can destroy enemies by attacking in battle, but a more cost-effective approach is to use the Spirit Grabber skill to execute, and successful executions can also replenish ammunition. Importantly, the screen of multiple enemies being punched out at the same time is both refreshing and secondary, which is actually very encouraging for players to use executions more.
The open map is another feature of Ghost Line Tokyo, and as the protagonist purifies the shrine, there will be many side quests, upgrade materials, and collection elements on the map. One part of it helps the player understand the background of the story, while the other part provides experience points and the necessary items to upgrade skills - especially Goku Yu, so try to take it down when you encounter it.

In my opinion, the most commendable advantages of Ghost Line: Tokyo are 3 points: first, it feels more comfortable in first-person shooting, perhaps because it uses spells, so it does not have the recoil and camera shake of many FPS games, and the judgment is also relaxed, which is very friendly for friends who are not familiar with FPS or often "human body strokeing"; second, it is quite balanced in creating a mild horror atmosphere, and ghost images and urban legends do not "dissuade" players because they are too scary. It can also keep people a certain degree of tension; third, its localization is quite careful, although some details can not help but feel too strong, but the sincerity is undoubtedly worth encouraging.

The shortcomings of "Ghost Line: Tokyo" are also very obvious: I don't know if it is the cause of the epidemic, or the development team did not take the story as the focus, compared with the atmosphere and scene shaping, the main plot of this game is quite rough, and some places can even be described as "perfunctory"... From the beginning to the end, there is no place that makes the player feel "unexpected and reasonable", and the characters other than the protagonist are also suspected of being tools, and I have to say that there are some regrets.
