Gossip and gossip
What is a gua? The ancients explained: "The gua hangs also." "Equals no explanation. In fact, it is said that gua is the phenomenon of hanging up, and gossip is to tell us that there are eight things between the universes, and the phenomenon of these eight things hanging out is gossip. This universe is a copy of the I Ching, the phenomena of the universe are hung there, and now we must understand its principles.
The first qiangua represents the heavens, we look up, the sky is always on it, and when we turn our heads in space, the head is still the sky, and the sky must be overhead.
Kun Gua is the earth, human beings are the culture of the earth, the earth is always under the feet, and the phenomenon of this earth hangs there.
These two symbols represent time, space, and the universe. Within this heaven and earth, there are two big things, one is the sun and the other is the moon, like a ball, constantly rotating, so:
The eclipse represents the sun.
Kangua represents the moon.
These two things kept spinning between heaven and earth, so four trigrams hung out, and two of them were thunder and wind.
We use the knowledge and concept of modern science to explain the culture of our own ancestors, they believe that there is this kind of energy in the universe, electric vibration is thunder, after a vibration, the opposite side becomes a stream of air, that is, the wind.
Sunda represents the wind, that is, the air flow, the air flow vibrates too much, a friction and power generation, and then turn back, that is, "thunder wind thin", this is the thunder wind two gua.
There are also two gua are:
Gangua represents mountains and land.
The tribute represents the ocean and the river.
In the universe, in addition to these eight great phenomena, there is no longer a ninth big thing, this is only big, not small, such as small, suits are also a trigram, dust is also a trigram, then there is a lot, can not talk about it. There are only eight great phenomena, no nine, no seven, only eight trigrams, and they are all opposites. But these eight phenomena change enormously, they are infinite, they cannot be exhausted, and the changes are of course endless.
Now look at the Fuxi Bagua azimuth map on the left side of the figure below.
This map was not used before, it was not seen before the Tang and Song dynasties, and it only appeared after the Song Dynasty. In the past, the study of the "I Ching", only the study of the "Zhou Yi", the people who studied mostly constituted their own patterns, after the Song Dynasty, the Song version of the "I Ching" began to use the pattern here, and the changes came from here. Secondly, after we understand the principle of "the gua hangs up", then look at the gua of the "I Ching", it does not have to be so serious, but it is not simple, we must easily look at it.
