On March 22, Skyworth Group released its 2021 annual report, and its revenue increased by 27% against the trend to 50.928 billion yuan, breaking the 50 billion mark for the first time, and the five major businesses went hand in hand, all of which achieved different degrees of growth.

2021 is an extremely complex year for the industry situation, the domestic home appliance market is weak, the overseas market is affected by the epidemic, and many companies are struggling.

In this context, Skyworth Group still achieved double growth in revenue and net profit, and the gross profit margin was stable at 16.8%, which gave investors a fairly excellent answer.

Multimedia services seize the high-end and constantly refresh the OLED ceiling

In 2021, the volume of the color TV industry fell and rose, and the data of Aowei Cloud Network showed that the retail volume of the color TV market reached the lowest in 12 years, falling below the 40 million mark, to 38.35 million units, down 13.8% year-on-year; the retail sales volume reached 128.9 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6% year-on-year.

Skyworth's multimedia business maintained good growth, mainly because Skyworth TV seized the high-end market, cutting-edge products continued to expand, and consolidated the leading position in the high-end market.

According to the data of Aowei Cloud Network, in 2021, Skyworth's 8K products and "75 inch +" size segment products achieved a substantial increase in sales of about 331% and 64% year-on-year, respectively.

Skyworth also launched 4 OBM products, independently completed the entire process of OLED modules from research and development to production, and only a very small number of TV manufacturers currently have this capability.

Among them, the W81 series compresses the thickness of the screen, the thinnest point is up to 4.6mm; the S81 Pro screen can sound; the W82 screen can be curved or straight; and the S82 breaks through the color quasi-ceiling.

Skyworth Photovoltaic is the first company in China to obtain the dual certification of household EPC and household operation and maintenance issued by T V North Germany. In the past year, Skyworth's household photovoltaic business has soared, with revenue of 4.101 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3843.3%.

Zheshang Securities proposed in the research report that 2021 is the starting point for VR equipment in overseas markets, and 2022 is expected to become the first year of domestic VR equipment outbreak.

Skyworth Digital has been deeply engaged in VR for many years, and its product and technical strength ranks in the domestic frontline, with a completely independent whole industry chain, and all its products are independent research and development, self-production and independent channel sales.

Its VR product V901 has 4K resolution, 8K hard decoding, 72Hz refresh rate, 105 degree field of view, and the viewing experience is not much different from similar flagship products such as iQiyi and Pico.

CITIC Construction Investment believes that compared with domestic and foreign giants Pico, Oculus and other products, Skyworth's competitiveness has 3 points:

First of all, based on Skyworth Digital is the global set-top box leader, the sales volume is leading in the world, the market has covered more than 80 countries and regions in the world, and the market share in many countries is among the best; its set-top boxes and broadband connection products, for operators at home and abroad, have a good relationship with customers, and can sell VR customized models for customers in these operator markets;

Secondly, Skyworth is deeply rooted in the VR industry market, and currently has mature VR solutions and a stable customer base in the medical, education and other industries;

Third, the content ecological platform of Skyworth VR business is more open and inclusive, which can support the content of many manufacturers.

It is expected that this year, Skyworth will launch six pairs of short-throw VR all-in-one products with six pairs of degrees of freedom, with a resolution of 5K in both eyes, and its comprehensive performance will be in the first echelon in China.

In mid-2022, Skyworth is expected to release the first lightest folding optical path (Pancake) VR all-in-one machine in China, enter the domestic C-end market, and become a potential new star for domestic VR equipment manufacturers.

2 companies started the road to listing, with unlimited potential

In 2021, Skyworth Group intends to spin off its ice washing business Skyworth Electric Appliances to impact the listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and has now received formal acceptance of the listing application.

This is not the first time skyworth Group has spun off its businesses. In the second half of 2020, Skyworth Group has planned to spin off Kukai Technology for independent listing, and obtained the consent of the Stock Exchange.

This means that after Skyworth Group and Skyworth Digital, Skyworth will welcome 2 more listed companies.

Looking forward to the future, Skyworth Group said in the financial report that it will continue to explore strong projects such as photovoltaic business, venture capital business, industrial park development and logistics business under the premise of consolidating the leading edge of the home appliance industry, and strive to develop into potential IPO projects like Kukai Technology and Skyworth Electrical Appliances, and continue to enhance the value of Skyworth Group.
