Fritz

At the end of last week, homegrown Fritz and Polish teenager Swatek won the men's and women's singles titles, and the rankings changed accordingly.

Fritz set a new career high

Fritz, 24, who finished in the top 15 of his world rankings for the first time this week after winning his first Masters title in Indian Wells, moved up seven places to 13th, replacing Opelka to return to the throne as a U.S. brother. While winning the second title of his career, he also became the first local player to win a cup in Indian Wells since Agassi in 2001.

All three rose one place

Medvedev's early exit from Indian Wells also allowed Djokovic to return to world number one, but the Russians still have a chance to regain the throne at the upcoming Miami Masters. After finishing second in the men's singles at Indian Wells, Nadal moved up one place in the rankings, replacing Zverev in third place in the world. Swiss King Federer also rose one place to 26th.

Swatak and Sakkari set new top rankings

After winning her fifth career title in Indian Wells, Svatek moved up to second in the world, equaling the highest ranking of Polish women's tennis players set by polish predecessor A Radwanska. Swateck thus became the second youngest player in the world after Wozniacki in 2010. Women's singles runner-up Sakkari scored 650 points to move the world rankings from sixth to third, and she defeated defending champion Bardoza in the semi-finals to lose to Swatak in the final.

Halep returns to the TOP20

With a record of the Indian Wells Final Four, two-time Grand Slam champion Halep returned to the world's top twenty, rising from 26th to 19th. After defeating compatriot Costia in the fourth round at Indian Wells, Halep continued to lock in the romanian first sisterhood.
