In the early morning of March 21, Beijing time, the WTA1000 Indian Wells Station entered the last day of competition. In a match in the women's singles final, no. 3 seed Sviatek and No. 6 seed Sakari met. The two sides had fought four times before, with Sakkari having the upper hand with 3 wins and 1 loss. Sviatek was even better in today's match, sweeping Sakari in two straight sets to win the tournament.

The two began a break fight in the first set, with neither side managing to keep their serves in the first four innings. In the 6th set, Sviatek broke the opponent's serve again to take a 4-2 lead. In the 7th set, Salak scored four consecutive runs to complete the comeback, and then saved the serve to make it 4-4. In the 10th set, Sviatek broke in a set where his opponent had no way back and won the first set 6-4.

In the second set, Sakkari saved two break points in the second set, and Sviatek broke in the fourth set to take a 3-1 lead. In the 6th set, Sviateck broke the opponent's serve again, and came to win the championship game 5-1. In the 7th set, Sviatek managed to save his serve and won the second set 6-1.

In the end, in a match that took 1 hour and 20 minutes, the No. 3 seed Svyatek defeated the No. 6 seed Sakari 6-4, 6-1, to win 11 consecutive games back-to-back in two WTA 1000 class tournaments, becoming the first Polish player to win the cup in the tournament. It was Sviatek's 5th career title and 3rd WTA 1000 class title. With a flawless performance of this week's victory, Sviatek will rise to a new personal high in the world next week's World Rankings.
