The Destroyer 05 is the first model in BYD's Marine Network warship series, positioned as a compact class sedan, and is fully equipped with the DM-i Super Hybrid System, and its NEDC pure electric cruising range is available in 55 km and 120 km versions.

In terms of appearance, the destroyer 05 is based on BYD's "marine aesthetics" design concept, using a new design language that is different from the currently available models, and also brings a refreshing feeling, perhaps this will also become the family DNA of the warship series. The front part of the car features a borderless grille, which is inspired by layers of waves, and the dense horizontal chrome trim strips that are staggered further stretch the visual width of the entire front face, while also using BYD's new letter LOGO.
The side of the body still has the more typical proportions and contours of BYD models, the length of the front and rear overhangs is not short, although the body height is nearly 1.5 meters, but the roof arc has a very obvious drop after the B-pillar, so it still has a relatively low posture. In terms of body size, the destroyer 05, which is positioned as a compact class sedan, has a fairly excellent volume in the same class, with specific length, width and height parameters of 4780/1837/1495mm, and a wheelbase of 2718mm, which has a certain advantage over most competitors.
The design of the rear part of the car echoes the front part of the car, maintaining the unity of the design style, and the large number of horizontal lines used also strengthens the horizontal visual width here while also creating a full sense of layering, and the rear bumper also has a cooling trough design on both sides. The through-type taillights are a popular design element nowadays, and on the destroyer 05, the taillights have also added a blackening effect, making them look more youthful.
The interior design concept of the destroyer 05 is also derived from the aesthetics of the ocean, creating the atmosphere of the ocean through more soft lines, composed of four colors of basalt black, sky gray, quantum high brightness gray and pink, adding a bit of youthful jumping elements in addition to the stable overall style. The top of the center console is covered with a large area of soft-lined plastic material and is equipped with two-tone stitching decoration, which creates a good sense of quality, and the quality of the process is also good in the same level.
In terms of configuration, the destroyer 05 will provide 8.8-inch full LCD instrument and 15.6-inch rotatable center display, the car is equipped with DiLink intelligent network system, using the latest HMI interface design, can be compatible with a large number of mobile phone APP, the scalability is also very strong, and the vehicle OTA remote upgrade. In addition, LED daytime running lights, keyless entry, one-key start system, automatic air conditioning, rear exhaust air outlet, cruise control, exterior mirror electric adjustment + heating, etc. are standard, and the high-end model is also equipped with DiPilot intelligent driver assistance system, which has more than 30 driving assistance systems including AEB-CCR automatic emergency braking system, AEB-VRU pedestrian identification/protection system, LKS active lane keeping system, etc.
In terms of power, the destroyer 05 will be equipped with a DM-i super hybrid system, which is composed of a 1.5L high-efficiency engine for Snap cloud-plug hybrid, an EHS electric hybrid system and a DM-i super hybrid special power blade battery. Among them, the 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 81kW and a peak torque of 135N·m, while the EHS electromix system has two options, the maximum power of the motor is 132kW and 145kW, and the peak torque of the motor is 316N·m and 325N·m, respectively.
