The three live together, the axe kills his wife, and the "fairy tale poet" Gu Cheng's perversion and madness

In the eyes of modern poetry critics, Gu Cheng is an introverted, non-talkative and timid "obscure" poet. He was a natural poet, and his creations did not rely on accumulated social experience, but on his sensitive observation of all things and his innate talent.

Gu Cheng's poems focus on describing those beautiful, pure and bright things in the natural world, and although the language of the poems is pure and simple, the artistic conception is very beautiful. He is eager to construct an ethereal and pure fairy tale world for the reader, in order to break the shackles of the real world and reach the realm of "aesthetic romance".

However, it is such a "fairy tale poet" full of innocence and bookishness, but he is very unfaithful to love, not only playing "love triangle", but even wielding an axe and brutally killing his wife, after killing his wife, he also hanged himself under a big tree, ending a short life.

So, what exactly caused Gu Cheng to slash and kill his wife with a knife and hang himself?

First, in happiness and pain, I found a path of my own

Gu Cheng was born in Beijing in September 1956, and his father, Gu Gong, was a modern poet. Therefore, he was influenced by a good culture from an early age, which laid a solid foundation for his future poetry creation. Gu Cheng's childhood life is happy and happy, he loves to read and tell stories, but he never wants to be surrounded by a group of friends, so he often pesters his sister to tell her stories.

Before the Cultural Revolution, Gu Cheng, 12, dropped out of school to raise pigs at home and began experimenting with writing poetry. He always liked to be alone and not to play with his peers, and he became silent and withdrawn. After the Cultural Revolution began, his father was persecuted, which had a strong impact on his heart and made him more sensitive and depressed.

In the following years, Gu Cheng and his father were sent to the countryside for transformation, but he did not like rural life, because the gap between such a life and the world he imagined was too big, and this gap made him feel very painful. In order to dispel the repressed emotions in his heart, he decided to escape the harsh reality in a special way - to write poetry.

In 1973, at the age of 17, Gu Cheng began to write poems, describing his imaginary world in very pure and clean language. At the age of 21, Gu Cheng published a small poem in the "Dandelion" tabloid that caused a strong response in the poetry circle and received the attention of many people, and since then he has become a well-known poet. Soon he was selected as the representative poet of the "Obscure Poetry School".

Second, the train met his wife, and traveled to Europe to write poetry and give lectures

In 1985, Gu Cheng became a member of the Chinese Writers Association, further elevating his status and his poetry gaining wider recognition. In 1987, in order to better improve himself, Gu Cheng began to travel to Europe and carry out cultural exchanges and lectures. This study tour experience has greatly enhanced Gu Cheng's international reputation and made him a lot of money, but Gu Cheng does not seem to care about money and honor.

In 1988, Gu Cheng settled in New Zealand and was hired as a teacher at the University of Auckland, teaching classical Chinese literature. However, Gu Cheng was a person who was out of step with the times, he was not sociable, did not like the troubles of city life, and could not stand the complicated chores brought by work, so he quit his teaching profession and lived in seclusion in New Zealand's Rapids Island, living a self-sufficient and isolated life.

Third, meet Hideko, the three live together

For Gu Cheng, the whole of his life is to write poetry, but he really can't do anything but write poetry, and the burden of the family all falls on his wife Xie Ye. However, there must be not only poetry and distant places in life, but also chai rice oil and salt. As Gu Cheng's poems became more and more unpopular, their lives began to become stretched.

Although Gu Cheng and Xie Ye lived in poverty, Xie Ye never complained or thought of leaving her husband. However, at this moment, Gu Cheng fell in love with another woman, Ying'er.

Gu Cheng had already met Ying'er before settling in New Zealand, and Ying'er was his fan and a young and beautiful female student of Peking University. In 1987, the night before Gu Cheng planned to go to Various European countries for study, Ying Er expressed her admiration for Gu Cheng in front of Xie Ye.

Soon after Gu Cheng settled in New Zealand, he secretly took Ying Er to Riptide Island. Seeing that her husband and other women had cooked raw rice and cooked mature rice, Xie Ye actually agreed to the existence of Ying'er, shared her husband with her, and lived a life of three people living together.

Fourth, it fell apart and the mentality collapsed

Later, Xie Ye got tired of sharing her husband's life with her, met a New Zealander while out to earn money to support the family, and secretly associated with him. However, it didn't take long for the delicate Gu Cheng to discover that his wife had cheated on him behind his back, and Gu Cheng, who was ashamed and angry, carried out an unusually fierce domestic violence against Xie Ye. After this incident, Xie Ye was completely dead to Gu Cheng, and such a man was not worthy of her love at all.

Not long after, Ying Er also could not bear the poverty of living with Gu Cheng, and proposed to Gu Cheng to go out to work to earn money. However, how could Gu Cheng, who had experienced his wife's infidelity, believe Ying'er's words, not only refusing Ying'er's request, but also taking care of her more severely. However, in the end, Ying Er still took advantage of Gu Cheng's inattention to sneak out, and finally met a British immigrant, and soon married him.

Ying'er's marriage completely collapsed Gu Cheng's mentality, and the life he fantasized about as "three people coexisting" eventually fell apart. At this time, there was no one around Gu Cheng who could talk to.

Fifth, the negotiation was out of control, and he hanged himself after slashing and killing his wife with a knife

Xie Ye has never returned to Riptide Island since she experienced domestic violence, until she wants to discuss divorce with Gu Cheng. After Xie Ye returned to Riptide Island, he directly told Gu Cheng to divorce him, so that he could marry the New Zealander as soon as possible.

Xie Ye's actions annoyed Gu Cheng, and a fierce quarrel broke out between them. Gu Cheng, who was finally overwhelmed by anger, actually picked up the axe used to chop wood at home and frantically slashed at Xie Ye's body. Xie Ye couldn't dodge it, and was chopped to the ground by Gu Cheng, covered in blood.

Seeing that his wife who had fallen into a pool of blood did not move, Gu Cheng gradually regained his sanity. He began to be afraid, and his fragile heart could no longer bear the fact that such a fact. So he quickly wrote four suicide notes, and then hanged himself in a large tree in front of his home.

Sixth, the deformed mentality and excessive self lead to tragedy

From Gu Cheng's growth experience, it can be seen that he has been a closed-minded and introverted person since he was a child. In his emotional life, Gu Cheng is a poet who does not eat fireworks in the world, his heart is sensitive and delicate, he can always easily capture changes that are difficult for others to detect, which on the one hand brings him creative inspiration, on the other hand, he becomes very nervous.

Gu Cheng is an overly egoistic person, he is self-centered, and he will never allow his wife and lover to have half a point of transgression, while he himself can act arbitrarily. When the tedious things in life and the works became more and more unappreciated, his psychology developed in a more "perverted" direction.

This deformed mentality and excessive self-psychology eventually led to a human tragedy.
