Who is Bodhidharma's master? Before answering this question, we must first find out the true identity of Bodhidharma.
In previous articles, we have analyzed that Bodhi Guru is likely to be the Master of the Tongtian Sect, because the two have too many similarities, and here are three points:

And Bodhi Guru was not willing to interfere in worldly affairs, for fear of being implicated by Sun Wukong, so he warned him not to divulge his master's name.
Since Grandmaster Bodhi was the Master of the Tongtian Sect, it was not difficult for his master to know that it was the Master of the Tongtian Sect, Hongjun Laozu.
Hongjun LaoZu was a congenital saint. In the world of fengshen gods, the saint is the great god at the top of the chain of cultivation immortals, and the innate saint is above the saint.
The saints all have boundless mana, and even have the ability to destroy the heavens and destroy the earth, and they all have an absolute advantage over the cultivators under the saints, so it is said that all the saints are ants. And the innate saints also seem to have an absolute advantage over the saints, which is evidenced by the original work.
Hongjun Laozu had three saint disciples, in addition to the Master of the Tongtian Sect, the other two were Lao Tzu and Yuan Shi Tianzun. In the battle of the gods, the three saint disciples in the same room, which made Hongjun Laozu feel sad. After the war, in order to avoid the recurrence of tragedy, Hongjun Laozu gave each of them a red pill. This red pill is a special kind of medicine, after the three saints take it, as long as there is another fight, the red dan medicine will have a seizure and take the lives of the three saints.
The three saints are all top gods on high, are they willing to take the Red Dan? Of course, I don't want to, but under the supervision of Hongjun Laozu, I still honestly take the red dan.
The three saints were forced to take the Red Dan, of course, not only out of respect for the Master, but also out of reverence for the strength of the Hongjun Old Ancestor. If he refused to take the Red Dan, Hongjun LaoZu would be angry and punish him, I am afraid that it would embarrass the three saints even more.
The three saints can benchmark the three Qing in the western journey world, and the strength of Hongjun Laozu is stronger than that of the three saints, naturally above the three Qing, and the three Qings join forces, I am afraid that they may not be the opponents of Hongjun Laozu.
