Yao Feng: Those fates in life

——Written on the occasion of Yao Feng's first solo exhibition

Text/Tu Zhiruo

In the spring and autumn, Yao Feng's first solo exhibition arrived as scheduled.

Calligraphy, I am not qualified to talk about, let alone study. I often call these people "writers" or "craftsmen." "Like a person drinking water, cold and warm self-knowledge", the things they experience, only they know the bitterness. So here I will not talk about calligraphy, only about the people who write.

By worldly standards, Yao Feng was obviously far from success. But he knows how to aim in one direction and stick to his own choices to the end; he pursues dreams, does not succumb to the arrangement of fate, does not disobey the true nature of the heart, and transforms the loneliness behind the noise and the frustration on the edge of the clamor into a more permanent and sustained life of strength and enthusiasm, which makes me feel very remarkable.

The pursuit of dreams by people is the greatest poem between heaven and earth; the pursuit of excellence will surely write an extraordinary legend of life.

Everyone's growth carries the pain of life, and that kind of secret joy and sorrow will always jump out at some inadvertent moments, affecting your judgment and choices. The psychological reincarnation, basically, is that the suffering you suffered when you were a child, and when you grow up, you suffer again, not enough, you have to suffer many times - this reincarnation is fate. Yao Feng's childhood was terrible, and his parents' model also greatly affected him. At this point, most of us subconsciously change our parents, or blame them severely because of childhood suffering... But whether from the deeper home system or the deeper karmic level, the result of changing others and complaining about others will only be to reincarnate oneself in misfortune and suffering. The only direction is to surrender and accept, and to start by changing yourself, to cut off the chain of fate of your own family. This road is very hard, but Yao Feng has always been a brave practitioner. Living the life you want requires not only courage, but also the ability to choose.

Maybe there is always some fate in life, unexpectedly meeting, smiling wordlessly. Yao Feng and calligraphy seem to carry a secret heavenly arrangement. At that time, the light swept through our lives, and there were always some light or dark fragments through the pen of a bookkeeper, which became a relic depicting the rings of the year in the staggered ups and downs, carrying a bookkeeper's strong enthusiasm for life, or extravagant, or agitated... Bloom out of the fate has long been carved in the frame of the face.

From winter to spring, the changes of the four hours always have a profound echo with our journey. The holding of this book fair is the result of a mature rhythm that follows a natural rhythm. The relationship between Yao Feng and calligraphy is more or less the same - walking in calligraphy, thinking in walking, nourishing, refining...

Because of love, so love. Love, love, that's enough, everything else is just a better, non-existent byproduct.
