On the evening of March 14, the first symphony concert of the large-scale original musical "Fuchun Bihe", which was directed by the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, sponsored by the Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Fujian Provincial Musicians Association, and jointly produced by Zhejiang Ruijin Culture and Art Exchange Co., Ltd. and the Fujian Provincial Song and Dance Theater, was successfully broadcast live online at the Fujian Grand Theatre, which was composed and conducted by the famous composer Li Haiying, and lyrics by Wu Youlin and Wei Qiang. Many artists, such as the tenor Xue Haoyan, a contracted tenor of the Royal Opera House, and Wang Qingshuang, a famous soprano singer of the Central Opera House, joined hands with the Fuzhou Strait Symphony Orchestra to perform. The livestream was watched by more than 80 million viewers that night.
The musical "Fuchun Bihe" is based on the legendary experience of the yuan dynasty painter Huang Gongwang's work "Fuchun Mountain Jutu", creating this large-scale stage drama work with the vision of the great righteousness of the family and the country and the expectation of the early reunification of the motherland. Through the sadness and joy of the male and female protagonists in the play in the context of a specific era, the musical presents a classic moment of two volumes in one in stage art, expressing the good wishes of the two sides of the strait looking forward to reunion. After more than a year of preparation and 3 months of intense rehearsals, the symphonic concert version of the musical "Fuchun Bihe" was broadcast live online at the Fujian Grand Theatre on the evening of the 14th, and domestic music experts, senior drama critics, local media, as well as relevant people from joint promotion units such as Hangzhou Grand Theatre, Jiangxi Provincial Arts Center, Suzhou Culture and Arts Center, and Shanghai Performing Arts Co., Ltd. watched the live broadcast online.
It is particularly worth mentioning that the composition of this musical is led by the famous composer Li Haiying, who has been widely known for his song works such as "Crooked Moon" and "Song of the Seven Sons". The Fuzhou Strait Symphony Orchestra, which plays the music of this play, is the only professional symphony orchestra in China formed by classical musicians on both sides of the strait, and is also an important bridge and link for building a high-quality brand for cross-strait cultural exchanges and establishing friendly exchanges between musicians on both sides of the strait. Under the guidance of the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, and the Fujian Symphony Orchestra under the Fujian Provincial Song and Dance Theatre, the orchestra was officially established in November 2021. This performance was jointly performed by artists from both sides of the strait, which is of far-reaching significance.
The musical "Fuchun Bihe" was jointly created and staged by Fujian and Zhejiang.
