The US NASDAQ fell more than 2%, popular Chinese stocks fell sharply, and Kingsoft Cloud fell nearly 48%

On Monday (March 14), the three major U.S. stock indexes rose and fell, with the Dow flat, with the Nasdaq down 2.04% and the S&P 500 down 0.74%. Popular technology stocks and chip stocks generally fell, Chinese stocks fell sharply, Kingsoft Cloud fell nearly 48%, zhihu fell nearly 28%.

Big tech stocks were down across the board, with Google down 3.02 percent, Netflix down 2.74 percent, Apple down 2.66 percent, Amazon down 2.52 percent, Microsoft down 1.30 percent and Facebook down 0.52 percent.

Energy stocks were lower across the board, with Western Oil down 4.06 percent, ExxonMobil down 3.58 percent, Schlumberger down 3.17 percent, Chevron down 2.45 percent and ConocoPhillips down 1.9 percent.

Bank stocks were mixed, with Wells Fargo up 2.87 percent, Bank of America up 2.13 percent, JPMorgan Chase up 0.97 percent, Morgan Stanley down 0.60 percent, Goldman Sachs down 0.56 percent and Citi up 0.13 percent.

Most of the popular Chinese stocks fell, Kingsoft Cloud fell 47.86%, Zhihu fell 27.96%, Momo fell 27.82%, Dada Group fell 26.95%, Hong En Education fell 26.23%, Cangu fell 25.19%, iQiyi fell 24.10%, Pinduoduo fell 20.54%, JD.com fell 10.52%, Alibaba fell 10.38%. New energy vehicle stocks fell across the board, with WEILAI Down 12.26%, Xiaopeng Auto down 13.84%, and Ideal Auto down 20.61%.

Major European stock indexes closed up en masse, with the German DAX up 2.21% at 13929.11 points; the French CAC40 up 1.75 percent at 6369.94 points; the UK FTSE 100 up 0.53 percent at 7193.47 points; the Italian FTSE MIB up 1.67 percent at 23,426.70 points; and the European STOXX600 up 1.2 percent at 436.36 points.

Crude oil, WTI April crude oil futures closed down $6.32, or 5.78%, at $103.01 a barrel; Brent May crude futures closed down $5.77, or 5.12%, at $106.90 a barrel.
