Previously, the cooperation agreement between BMW and ALPINA was renewed at the end of 2020, so the partnership will continue until December 31, 2025, until the deadline, ALPINA cars will continue to develop and produce at the Buchloe plant in Germany, and BMW will also support the ALPINA brand by renovating the plant in the next few years.
However, starting in 2026, alpina's vehicle production at its headquarters in Buchloe will end, while the original service, parts and accessories business will continue, and the BMW Group will then provide affected ALPINA employees with positions in the BMW Group or suppliers.
It is said that ALPINA can get the drawings, technical parameters, etc. two years before each new BMW car is unveiled, and set out to build ALPINA's own model, and give a unique soul through unique tuning, aerodynamic design, etc. Typically, ALPINA cars are pre-assembled on BMW's production line and then finally assembled at the Buchlohe plant, which also includes customer-specific interior requirements.
After this acquisition, especially since 2026, ALPINA, BMW MPerformance, BMW M Power have truly become a brand of online development, and what unique experiences ALPINA can bring in the context of electrification, we will wait and see.
