Anna Kurnikova was born on June 7, 1981, into a sports family in Moscow, the son of Sergei Sergei, a former professional wrestler, and a mother of Allah, a tennis coach.
At the age of ten, Kurnikova received a scholarship from the Nick Bollettieri Tennis School in Bradenton, Florida, USA.
At the age of fourteen she became a professional tennis player (1995), represented Russia in the Confederations Cup, becoming the youngest female player ever to participate in the tournament and winning several matches.
