It is reported that this time released a series of new products for the 5G mobile platform of Tianji, including Tianji 8100 and Tianji 8000. Officials say it brings advanced network connectivity, display, gaming, multimedia and imaging technologies to high-end 5G smartphones.
According to the corresponding introduction, the Tianji 8100 and Tianji 8000 5G mobile platforms both use TSMC's 5nm process, which has excellent performance and energy efficiency performance.
Both platforms use an octa-core CPU architecture design, the Tianji 8100 is equipped with four Arm Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of up to 2.85GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 energy efficiency cores, and the Cortex-A78 core frequency of the Tianji 8000 is 2.75GHz.
At the same time, both platforms use Arm Mali-G610 six-core GPU, equipped with MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 game engine, support for quad-channel LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory, providing high-speed data transfer.
The Tianji 8000 series integrates mediaTek's fifth-generation AI processor, APU 580, to provide energy-efficient AI computing power in all-scenario applications such as multimedia, gaming, video, and video.
Both platforms, the Tianji 8100 and Tianji 8000, are equipped with the Imagiq 780 image signal processor, which can process up to 5 billion pixels per second.
In terms of other specifications, the Tianji 8000 series can support up to 200 million pixel cameras and 4K60 HDR10+ video recording, low-light shooting can also get clear/detail-rich photos and videos, support dual camera HDR video synchronous recording, support 5G Sub-6GHz full-band network and 2CC CA dual-carrier aggregation technology, support MediaTek 5G UltraSave 2.0 power saving technology, support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
In addition, MediaTek also brought 1300 5G mobile platforms this time.
According to the official introduction, it is based on TSMC's 6nm process, adopts an octa-core CPU architecture, and includes 1 Arm Cortex-A78 super core with a main frequency of up to 3.0GHz, 3 Arm Cortex-A78 large cores and 4 Arm Cortex-A55 energy-efficient cores, with Arm Mali-G77 GPU and MediaTek third-generation APU.
At the same time, the HDR-ISP of the Tianji 1300 chip can support up to 200 million pixel cameras, integrating the MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 game engine, taking into account performance and power consumption. It also features enhanced AI features, upgraded night scene shooting and HDR capabilities.
On the whole, MediaTek has brought a variety of chip products with different positioning. As for the actual arrival time of these new products, officials said that terminals using Tianji 8100, Tianji 8000 and Tianji 1300 are expected to be listed in the first quarter to the second quarter of 2022.
At present, OPPO has officially announced that the OPPO K10 series will be the first to be equipped with the Tianji 8000 series, and will also work with MediaTek to jointly tune the game experience.
In addition, OnePlus and Realme also announced that they will be equipped with the Tianji 8100 5G mobile platform.
