Recently, we looked at the first new car that Niuchuang will launch in advance, and from some of the design details of the new car, I seem to see Li Yinan's unique "Niuchuang playing style".
First, aim at the outdoors and become a faction of its own
In the world of oil trucks, we can often see some cars that focus on outdoors, there are hardcore off-road, cross-border SUVs, and multi-purpose hunting and wagons, but with the increasing number of urban scenes, such functional cars that focus on outdoors have gradually become niche.
This is still the case with oil trucks, not to mention electric vehicles.
Before a new car model with a fire "camping fever", few new energy vehicles can be hooked up with the outdoors, and most of them are decent urban play.
So Li Yinan saw: people lack an electric car that can go outdoors. Our current self-tourer NV shoulders this role, "self-travel" is not only a harmonic "freedom", but also emphasizes a "tour" word.
With a length of 4,915 mm, width of 1,962 mm, height of 1,745 mm and wheelbase of 2,910 mm, it is the size of a typical medium to large SUV. The body is designed with a double-layer color block and the chrome design of the C-pillar, making the car appear larger and longer. The tough design orientation of various details and elements seems to tell you that it is not willing to live in the city.
The round, double-track daytime running lights are the most recognizable element of the entire front. The reason why there is no perfect circle shape is that I think the designer should deliberately create a kind of "aggression". Similar designs include front and rear light clusters in the form of "energy grids", which are significantly different from the "squinting" headlights now common in electric vehicles.
In order to highlight the outdoor properties of the new car, Niuchuang deliberately emphasized its loading capacity. The luggage rack is naturally indispensable, in addition to its huge interior space, the standard trunk space is 788L, and after the rear seat is reclined, you can go directly to the 1730L.
Inside, the new car offers 20 storage spaces, armrest boxes that can be opened left and right, hollowed out under the center console, removable glove boxes, etc.....
In order to cope with the complex outdoor scene, the new car, whether it is an extended range version or a pure electric version, is equipped with intelligent electric four-wheel drive as standard. Under this powertrain, the vehicle's 0-100km/h acceleration to 5.9s is not radical in mainstream electric vehicles.
In short, whether it is the appearance design and space layout, or the standard four-wheel drive, the self-touring NV is aimed at the outdoor scene design, which can not only play an advantage of the extender electric, but also make up for the market gap of electric vehicles in this area on the product side.

It is said that before the official announcement of the car, Li Yinan had visited many OEMs to "learn the scriptures". When I saw the self-touring NV, I was very sure that Li Yinan was indeed a car builder with strong learning ability. On the new car, I see the shadow of many classic products.
1. Round headlights
This type of design originates from hardcore off-road such as big G and Wrangler, and has been widely used in tank models in recent years, which can be called an essential classic element of off-road vehicles. Fortunately, Niu Chuang is not a rigid set, and after the classic round lamp experience is re-created, it is another taste.
2. Color-block suspension roof and C-pillar chrome plate
Speaking of suspended roofs, the first thing we can think of is the Land Rover Aurora, which can be said to have applied such designs relatively early. To this day, the color-blocked suspended roof is still a trend element in the automotive design world, and it has endured for a long time.
Since the tourer NV is not exempt, and launched a variety of car color double spelling, such as gray / black, white / black, red / black, as well as our real shot of green / black and so on, the visual sense is pulled full.
Like the suspended roof, the large chrome trim of the body is also widely used in Land Rover models. At the first sight of the interior of the self-touring NV, my first feeling was familiarity. The overall layout of the T-shaped area is almost the same as that of Weilai, the 15.6-inch vertical screen, the hollowed-out storage slot at the bottom, and the queen co-driver, which almost collides with Weilai's face, and the armrest box similar to mercedes-benz left and right open each other...

Back to the question at the beginning of the article, as a latecomer to the car market, how should Niuchuang break the game? Market and product positioning is on the one hand, I think the answer in Li Yinan's heart is also the word "details" to create a user experience.
How to say the details, let's look at the product specifically.
1. Charging
In the car, the new car provides a total of two 15W mobile phone wireless charging, and the main and co-drivers do not need to compete for charging resources. In addition, the whole car is also equipped with 4 Type-C interfaces, the front row 10W with data transmission, the rear row 18W, support fast charging. This is not enough, the whole car also provides 3 12V power to facilitate the connection of external on-board appliances.
2. The new forces that are the first to use CarPlay
I don't know if you have noticed that the new forces that have always emphasized intelligence have always been resistant to CarPlay, and it is difficult for us to see the existence of CarPlay (almost nothing) on the new power models.
For Niu Chuang, equipping CarPlay is not a "big contrarian" thing, they even carry out a "fusion design" between CarPlay and the car machine.
It is understood that Niuchuang will carPlay and car machine system for "split screen" design, CarPlay will not be like the traditional full-screen coverage system, that is to say, the use of CarPlay can also be convenient for car-machine interaction.
In addition, CarPlay will also optimize the navigation, audio, schedule, call, information and other Apps that meet the user's personal usage habits according to the driving scenario, and naturally extend the mobile phone function to the car system. In addition to CarPlay, Niuchuang will also access wearable devices, such as unlocking vehicles with Apple Watch.
In addition to CarPlay, Niuchuang's self-designed car machine system is also being developed side by side, but the current system of the exhibition car is still relatively simple, and Niuchuang's statement is that it will release a formal car machine system when the new car is listed.
3, some small innovations
Interestingly, the air conditioner outlets at both ends of the dashboard of the new car are designed with 2 MiniLCD screens, which can display comfort-related information such as temperature/air volume/PM2.5.
There is also a detail that Niuchuang has built-in 6 linear micro-motor in the central control screen, when the user performs functional operation, the screen will give the corresponding vibration feedback, and the experience is similar to Apple's Taptic Engine, which can effectively improve the user's confidence in blind exercise.
At last
Niuchuang Self-Youjia NV will be listed in March this year and open pre-sale, officially delivered at the end of September, the production base is located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, with a planned annual production capacity of 180,000 vehicles. The price of the new car is expected to be in the 300,000-level gear, which means that the self-touring NV will go head-to-head with the ideal ONE of the extended range and the land-free free of the same dual power.
